Not a fan of the new atlas passive trees.
" He said you'd have all trees filled out around A8 Sirus. But depending on how much you did certain areas you'd have specific ones filled out way earlier. |

I think you guys got confused about what this thread is about.
Passive atlas trees only apply to the region they are in, not the whole atlas. So if you want to kill map bosses for sulphite, for example, you have to do ONLY LEX PROXIMA maps (or w/e that node is on). I'd rather they apply to all maps. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready. Last edited by Pyrokar#6587 on Jan 11, 2021, 10:30:05 AM

" We know they're per area mate, do you know how busted they'd be if they applied to all maps? Like the stuff in some of the trees are insane alone then you add in juicing the maps and the effect they have is made even more intense. It does just add a bit more grind in a way but it kinda just lets people focus on specific mechanics they like a bit more. It's a perfectly fine system as someone will at least have a couple or at least 1 map in an area they like to an extent so they could just farm those to make use of the trees in those areas. |

As far as I see it, those trees are fine. Yeah, another management is required (not sure about 'micro', as you're likely just allocate what you want to and don't respec often), but the passives are quite OP in return and will allow for much better mapping/drop.

" It would be obviously overpowered and will lead to numbers on those passives being reduced by 80% or something. You can do only Lex Proxima maps by playing Awakener Level 6 (unsocket the watchstones from every region but Lex Proxima, pick a favourite good T16 map in Lex Proxima, you will get only that T16 as drop). You can bring back A8 before doing Sirus/Conqueror, so there is almost no downside. Last edited by Tortoise_Turtle#1298 on Jan 11, 2021, 12:20:14 PM

" This is the first thing I thought of, the system already seems incredibly powerful and I honestly don't know if I'd even want it to be stronger than this. |
|
" It's region locked so you have to make tough choices on how to play your atlas. Maven requires 10 unique bosses - if you can pull them from anywhere that would be so easy. By locking it to a region you have to think about how (or even IF) you're going to use the preferred map system, because her fights will require you to run a wide range of maps to fight the repeatable 10 boss fight. On the other hand, after you've done it once, you might find you prefer to take advantage of your 10 points on the 'best' map in the region, 3x prefer that one, and run very few Maven fights. |

I'm with OP. Between Delirium orbs, scarabs, Zana mods, and league-specific items just dropping in general, there's already a lot of player agency in the game. This seems worse while adding more systems, more UIs, more micromanagement, more bloat, and more mental overhead -- at a time when all of those things have become huge issues. It's like players complaining about opening doors, then making a league that revolves almost entirely around opening doors. We'll see how it plays, but I'm guessing this turns out like the 'fixes' to Betrayal, Synthesis, and Heist; once players get past the new toys and flashing lights, they'll realize nothing was done to fix core design flaws.
