Number of Character slots ?

I did a little searching but could not find how many character slots will be available before we have to buy additional ones via microtransactions? Asking in chat resulting in several different responses.... from 5 to 24. I am currently experimenting with 12 but do not want to spend time leveling them only to have to pay for more slots later
Would appreciate knowing the "true" number. Oh, and thanks GGG for such a terrific game ! |

" I don't remember and can't tell you because I have over 40.. but just go and make characters until you can't make any more, then count how many you have, there's your default max character count. (assuming you haven't purchased extra slots) Never wrestle with a pig. You'll only get muddy, and the pig likes it!

It's 24. You can also run multiple accounts if you want and mule items between them with trading. It's allowed to run multiple instances in the game for this purpose.

Up.
I currently have 6 characters and... I can't create any other character. I tried any league because i first thought we maybe couldn't have several characters on the same "special" league but that's not the problem. I just can't create a 7th character, the "OK" button is disabled. So, is there a bug, or just a release change (which would be strange) ? Last edited by Harest#1598 on Oct 27, 2013, 8:24:31 PM

this is one of the reasones why i love this game. even if you dont pay(and ofcourse you should pay a bit because its a great game!) you have so many possiblitys. i love to play my alts and i already have more than 5 over 70 and they are growing! :D
