Of course you'd have 'wasted your time'. Just like you did last time, and just like you will in another few months when you get the craving for attention again.
You are not doing us a favour by informing us that you and your mates have left the game. Nobody has heard of you or your mates and nobody cares whether you play PoE or not. I know people who have left PoE. It makes zero difference to me or the community. People come, people go. Whether I play the game depends on whether I like it, not on whether those who have left the game like it. So knowing that player X has left the game is of no interest to me.
But then, you know this already.

You'd think that a community that 'prides' themselves on how outgoing and accepting they are, would eagerly accept the views from someone as experienced and skilled as someone like me..... but guess not today. Maybe tomorrow? Or maybe jealousey comes first on these forums and leaves you lost for words.

Why wouldn't we be jealous of someone who's never beat the Shaper or reached level 90?
Also, why are you still pretending that you aren't Kopogero on an alt account?

It's not your opinions that cause the negative reaction, it is how you present yourself. If you had casually mentioned in some thread that you find the meta stale and were leaving the game, nobody would have reacted badly. Burn-out is a common feeling, many would empathise even if they didn't respond. Someone deciding to leave the game just isn't a noteworthy or remarkable thing that others will care about enough to comment on. Unless it's a genuine pro like Ziz or mathil whose content would be missed.
What drew derision was your completely unsupported claims of being a pro, and how grateful non-pros should be to you. Such an arrogant stance will naturally draw a scornful response from any community, internet or real life. But, again, you know this. Which is exactly why you do it. It means that you get more responses. Which, even if those responses are scornful, is still attention.
Unless you genuinely don't know why you get a bad reaction and are posting sincerely rather than as troll-bait to gain attention. In which case, you don't have my envy but rather my pity. Going through life without understanding the first thing about human nature or group dynamics must be an awfully challenging task. We are a social and gregarious species. Our quality of life is built upon the acceptance and respect of our peers which, in turn, implies presenting ourselves in a humble way that earns their respect and acceptance. It really is a life skill that should be maxed out asap.

Buddy, as I said, myself and numerous other pros took a long break from this game. It got stale. At first I denied it by making a few new fast character and seeing how late I could get them to end game, but that wears off after 1-2x. So finally, I decided to take at least a couple months off progaming.
I see the meta doesn't shift too much when the ones who usually change it for the better are gone.

But that's not the point of this post. The point is to let the regular people know where the elite players have all gone.
While interesting, I doubt many regular players will care. Personally, I hadn't noticed, but nice to know that "pro" players are supposedly quitting. Have fun, wherever you are going.

I ALREADY left for 3 months. I'm back now and can see that absolutely nothing has changed for the better. Especially, from the looks of these replies, the community, which should be the icing on any games cake.

I don't understand what you hoped to achieve with your OP.
Besides sounding incredibly condescending ("you normal players" vs "I and other elites") - which obviously meets with resentment or derision, depending on how much credibility you have - you never actually said what you were trying to say:

You just said "not in PoE". So what did we learn, even if all your talk of "all pros have left" was true?
In summary, your OP can be shortened to:
"Nanana-na-naa-na! You suckers are still playing this game while we cool guys do something better!"
Did you really expect any positive responses to that? Serious question, not a jab at you.
May your maps be bountiful, exile

Porous2's post was right on. You should really read it and take it to heart.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
