good thing we delayed for CP2077

CP2077 seems kinda bad, but it still has broken records in terms of sales/active players.
So it was still the right call.
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

Postmortem, their sales may have broken even on development costs, but the damage to investor confidence with CDPR has and continues to tank, the worst nightmare for any game company. Financials aside, what is the general reception of cp2077? Yikes.
I'm finding the keyboard commands too clunky to enjoy. Visuals are great. Sound is amazing. But the game itself isn't enjoyable. Holding Control, tab and hitting F to attack is just too many silly keys for a single hand. They assign stuff to the middle mouse button that should be the left or right. Stuff like that. You can tell the people who designed the UI grew up playing with controllers.

It's a great game. And no... it's not like GTA on space crack because Cyberpunk is an actual RPG.

Apparently their twitter account took RPG out of the description yesterday lol

That doesn't change the fact that it is a role playing game. [counter lol]
I really hope they add to it... it's a great setting. Just seems kind of wasted.

It's *actually* kickass. I'm 40 hours in, focused almost entirely on the main story.

It looks and runs VERY good (2080ti / i7 @ 5.1ghz, 3440x1440), and I haven't encountered a SINGLE game breaking bug. All the bugs I've seen have been essentially some physics problems on the level of old bethesda like skyrim and if anything are kind of funny. Such as some items being over spawned and bouncing around / chopsticks floating in front of the npc I'm talking to, ect.

I'm no financial expert, but I'm not surprised at all that their stock dropped right after release. Looking at their chart, their recent peak was five days before launch. And with no new projects on the horizon it makes sense to me to sell off then. You can actually see the same (however not as drastic) dip in AB right at shadowlands launch. However ActivisionBlizzard ALWAYS has new things to crap out, so it recovers quickly. But again, no expert here.

In short, it runs fantastic for me on PC, has FEWER bugs and ZERO game breaking bugs compared to launches like GTAV / Skyrim / Fallout 4, and is genuinely lots of fun. If PoE had launched it's newest league last week, I wouldn't be playing it right now. Maybe in another week or two when I feel I've seen most of what I can out of CB2077, but by that time I wouldn't care as much about any supporter packs / mystery boxes ect.

If you play the game notice how the characters randomly drop pronouns for no reason at all.

There was one scene that goes something like this for example:

Johnny: Wanna smoke. Get me something to smoke.

V: Don't smoke. [As in I don't smoke]

Both times they inexplicably left out the pronoun "I".

Believe it or not, but quite a few actual real world people talk like that. Usually the very same kinds of people who might call each other 'choombas'.

As for the people harping on their stock price, it's only fallen to what it was before. It had risen quite a bit in the weeks leading up to release, and is now back down to what its regular market price was.

why did people even get so hyped about it? CDPR has made exactly one good game, and it was from a storyline they all but stole from a guy. 1/4 isn't really a good sign
some of the reviews i've watched are hilarious. basically having very negative language and things to say while still giving the game 8+ out of 10.

do people not know how to rate things anymore? its as if the baseline is 6, and not 0. from 0-10 anything above 5 is average and up on varying scale, and anything below is bad just depends how bad.
i'd say between 5-6 is mediocre, 6-7 is good, 7-8 is pretty good, 8-9 is amazing. 9+ is almost perfect and an actual 10 should be rare as fuck because its an actual perfect score. im not even sure i know of a game i'd give a 10 out of 10 to because all games have their issues.

i can't take majority reviews seriously anymore. its like they're too afraid to offend anyone so everything wins! can't afford to screw up your like/dislike ratio on your youtube video, amirite?

its all bullshit
