💡💡💡 PoE Auction House 💡💡💡
No amount of light bulbs in your title will make GGG change their minds, lol.

An idea I have that might be easy to implement - when someone whispers you wanting to buy something, there could be an 'accept trade' button which automatically transfers the item to them and their currency to your stash tab. The buyer could also have a 'withdraw offer' button so that he/she doesn't end up buying 2 of the same item.
I think the biggest issue with trade currently is that things take too long to come off the trade website after they are gone, which leaves you messaging people to buy things and too often it is already sold. Last edited by sephiroth1988#1892 on Jan 30, 2021, 7:14:12 PM

but its way to much fun having to message 30+ people before you get an answer to buy items why would players want this removed????
GGG have proven over and over again they don't care what the community wants, its their way or just don't play. They refuse to add an auction house system OR more importantly improve the performance of the game AT ALL and in fact just make it worse every league and then completely ignore people asking for things to be fixed............ BUT HEY GOOD NEWS you can buy MTX without issues!!!!! |

" True, but... You have to remember: POE is an 8 year old game. Sure, they put some lipstick on the pig every few months. However, in that massive dousing of lipstick, they introduce more and more ways (intentionally sometimes, often unintentional) to break game balance. Since Tencent took over (and don't believe for a minute that "Chris" runs anything), the only thing that matters to management is selling MTX. The game itself is more and more becoming a side-show... |

" There is one problem. If pricefixer sets price to 0,5 perandus coins and goes offline. How do you put 0,5 coins in trade window? "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" - Edmund Burke

I hear the pain.
I just spent over an hour trying to buy various fragments on the bulk item exchange. I got one (yes just one) automated reply "sold" and NO other responses. Fucking annoying. I even scroll way down the page to the more expensive offers as I am well aware that the first posts are just people flipping currency. I trade a lot (8 trades while wrote this). If I have something posted I will stop and sell it... even if it is just a chaos. If I post it, I sell it. I am honorable that way. Is it a PIA often? Sure. But I will stop what I am doing and help out other players. I am clearly in the minority... that's what I call unethical play. Now! Have I ever made a friend trading? No. A quick conversation at most. Has it disturbed my play? Many times every session. Are there any positives from having to stop what I'm doing and deal with other players? Or them with me? None. Seems to me that it is just a hefty dose of the obvious hubris the top brass at GGG walk around with when it comes their ARPG. But it is their ARPG, and it is a great game. One of the best. However I don't think that any sane person would argue that GGG are Elitist Jerks (comparison intended) and it is this reason and this reason only that they will not think about an Auction House; or an Auction House SC and/or HC option. Oh and I would do it online, in game. Got to play to play... even though plenty of currency flippers are basically just day traders. *** Every problem an Auction House would cause already exists in the current form of trading. Don't fool yourself.*** |

Either an auction house or drop decent fucking loot ever. It's an ARPG, stop making me cold call 30 strangers. Nobody likes it. Just as it should not be significantly more efficient to trade than to play the game, it shouldn't be a waste of the players time to even try to trade.
You, person about to say they like it - fuck you you're wrong. Last edited by murdouken#6360 on Feb 2, 2021, 2:57:29 PM

How are we supposed to recommend the game to anyone when we have to explain the reality of trading, how its more efficient than playing the game, and how its unavoidable?

" Do it how Runescape's Grand Exchange did it: Buyer can set aside their own currency and put in a purchase request for a specific item. If the item meets the standards, it is immediately purchased and the seller gets extra currency if they underpriced the item they listed. Example: Buyer wants a jewel and reserves 2ex for it. A seller lists a jewel that meets the buyer's criteria, but puts it up for 1.5ex. The sale is done immediately, the buyer gets the jewel and the seller gets 2ex. There would probably be an algorithm in place to measure mean and median values of items based on sales made, in order to prevent gross transferals of wealth. So if a price fixer lists an item for 0.5coins, someone can easily buy them out with 1coin. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Feb 2, 2021, 2:54:34 PM
