Very depressing when you think about it, most other game companies at least honor people's time and investment into the content they ended up enjoying when it comes to stuff like this.


To be fair, how many games make enough content they can consider cutting some of it? I also remember that while a lot of people loved the Legacy League, there were a fair number of people who felt like it required too much micromanagement to keep track of their leaguestones.

The reason there's very little access to the Ancient Reliquary is quite deliberate because it provides unique items with legacy values, which were all rebalanced as part of conscious design decisions. Having said that, I can certainly empathise with how it can feel crappy when something you enjoy goes away.

I agree that the leaguestone idea is better executed in the game currently with scarabs and paying chaos for a certain league mechanic on the map with rotation of the map mods each league. In terms of the legacy variants, I agree, obviously, you don't want too many legacy items in the game, and perhaps it's even counter-intuitive to have given balances to the items are in the game for a reason, but if you made the reliquary keys have a good balance of drop chance being low enough, perhaps it's something that could stay in the game just as a rare event you get to encounter once in a while. I'm not claiming it's easy to just balance either, but it's better to at least include it in some capacity rather than not having it at all. The whole room itself with the chest was amazing and just getting the foil etch on your uniques felt special as it does when you open mtg cards, which was likely an influence to having a foil etch on the uniques in the first place, making it sad that you can't acquire anymore. Either way, hopefully, we get Legacy league's return one day in terms of the reliquary keys, at least in some capacity.

Let us zoom out more. Bring back 32:9, Heist Alt Quality Gems, Gear Enchanting, Prophecy, Metamorph & Crucible. Stop removing content from the game. Stop nerfing everything. Stop making the game slow

its not that i was wondering if they will incorporate legacy league as a whole just have a way to obtain relic items again yes i agree that adding the league stones to the game as well as the overall league mechanic would be to say the least counterproductive i just think it would be great to actually get the old stuff again as many players dont/havent had the opportunity to even get relic items without price fixing setting the overall standard for most of these items as mirror worthy i want to ask your opinion of some thing also what if (big if) they had a leauge for three months as like a reflection of the old days (im talking the days when you could use warcys with cwdt etc like remove all the previous nerfs like double dipping etc ) i know this isant exactly the right approach but most of the newer player base dosent know the struggle most of us normal players went through during the early days of poe idk just shooting ideas

Some good discussion going on here, nice to see :) I agree with the issue about micromanagement, there's already more in the game now than there was when Legacy League was a thing. Now we have Sextants, Scarabs, selectable Map Missions, Modifiers on Maps, Conqueror influence in a region, Elder influenced Maps and that's not even just rolling a map for modifiers. It's all a bit much really.

I feel that a nice compromise for Legacy uniques are the Replica uniques in Heist. Reworked uniques that are familiar but open up new build options. I've appreciated this update quite a lot.

As you used the word "moot" earlier, I'm going to steal that word to describe this point, as it is pretty "moot" when we think about the micromanagement needed in some of the later leagues.

Anyhow, that said; scarabs are dropping like candy these days (which is a good thing - more player agency). And between rusted and winged scarabs, I feel a new Legacy League is unneeded.

Please remember: More player agency = good. Please give us more control/choice over what content to run and when to run it. (Hinthint, disconnect some of the league mechanics from the Atlas, and let us have more of a choice).
