Your favourite Rogue (personality wise)

Mechanically this has been a flawed league, although conceptual really interesting. Now this has been discussed to death of course so I wanted to focus this thread on the more positive side of Heist, the Rogues.

Heist League introduced nine Rogues to the game with each having their own unique personality and a ton of dialogue and voice line options. With Adiyah, Lady Kurai, Whakano and Faustus there are even four more new NPCs with personality traits and dialogues but lets focus on the Rogues as they offer the most interesting banter when using them or when in the planing room for a grand heist.

Obviously they put a ton of effort into making interesting and memorable new NPCs and I feel like this has kinda been forgotten and ignored with how troublesome the technical and balancing start of the league was.

Yet, you gotta admit that most of the dialogues are pretty good. Humor is a hard thing to put into a video game. We all know games where it just didn't work and which turned into a cringe fest (I always gotta think of Mass Effect Andromeda). In Heist I catch myself chuckling a lot when planing a grand heist or even running normal contracts, with Vinderi bringing most of the laughs (although he is probably the most selected Rogue too to be fair).

I really like that every Rogue has a unique and somewhat realistic/relatable personality.

Karst is this egoistical, little arrogant guy who thinks more of him than he really is, although obviously a very skilled thief.

Tibbs is the gentle and rather peaceful giant who ironically is probably the most sensitive of them all.

Isla is the crazy genius tinker women who is just different and therefore doesn't really click with other people although she doesn't seem to care too much.

Tullina is the young, popular and super talented thief who lacks a bit of confidence yet but has the smarts and skills to become something like a leader character in The Ring.

Huck is good hearted, proud as respectful soldier dude who probably is the least picked Rogue. He is a rather standard good guy who isn't particularly interesting but very reliable.

Niles is the little creepy old, socially awkward dude with basically a super power. No one likes him to sneak into their minds but he can't help it and isn't even very subtle about it. He is probably the least liked within the group, although it doesn't seem like he actually is a bad person.

Nenet is the very quite and super professionel lady, who only wants to prove her worth. Humor or talking isn't her thing, although she seems to have pretty powerful psychic abilities and is very respected in the group.

Gianna as the artistic, creative, little narcissistic and playful actress who is not only the good look of the group but also handles her business usually pacifistic. It really is just all a big show for her and she loves it.

Vinderi is the loud, unintentionally humorous, joker of the group. He is probably, the most well designed character in Heist. Him suffering from loss of memory combined with his rash and lose tongue makes him, arguably the star of the league.

So who do you like most?

For me Vinderi would be the most obvious answer but I also really like Isla, she is so awkward, especially in team with Vinderi which makes for pretty good entertainment in an action ARPG. I wish there would be more voice lines and actual banter between the rogues (like in town) when we are in a grand heist. It would be pretty amusing if all hell breaks lose and they are fighting over something insignificant or discussing something irrelevant to the mission.

Vindiri for sure.

I can't stand isla.. the way she talks is exactly how everyone in my profession talks. I'm a software engineer. The socially awkward language is so relatable and I hate it.
Huck. His introduction by Karst was hilarious. Having new rogues suddenly appear without prior warning was a great, humorous way of including them.
You must be joking right?
Thay all suks, lags, and dumbs.

The one is lesser, and have pleasant voise recordings, is Gianna. But still, gameplay wise, its dissapoinment.

I wish, ggg play their own game, but it seems they are not interested anymore.
They are all good. Gianna and Vinderi voice and dialogues stood out.
Vinderi for me, its when you exit and he talks about how he'd never tell his kids this but he loves crime lmao cracks me up everytime.

Tbh i think they did a great job with the voice acting, some of the lines are a little 4th wall or fan fictionesque but on the whole it was great.
They're all fine as video game characters but all of them have their personalities exaggerated by just a little too much for me to pick a 'favorite' as in someone I'd want to hang out with in real life.

Vinderi, to answer the question, but Gianna has my favorite recurring line. Exile! ... I need you for this. Feelsneededman. Really love the delivery of that one more than the content.

Huck is a man that doesn't show his face, not once. A man wearing a mask all the time has secrets to hide, he never shows his true colors, he shouldn't be trusted. Whether he is a... good guy, or not, is debatable, what is even the difference between good and evil in this mess of a Wraeclast. I don't think he is uninteresting, on the contrary, I think he is intriguing and full of mystery. He could easily be the puppet master, playing all other heroes and villains alike for a fool all along, from the very beginning to the... bitter end (if only we could tell whose end).

But he is reliable. Very reliable. This only adds to the flavor. A... rogue that can be completely relied upon, that is suspicious!

Nowadays wearing a mask is a prerequisite (sort of), and not only for... rogues, I never leave home premises without mine.

Though sometimes I go for the... full face version, cuz you know desperate times call for desperate measures.

Isla, only because of the accent.
Karst should have his mouth taped shut.

Interesting approach. We don't really know a whole lot about each Rogue but we do learn that Huck used to serve for the Blackguards before he was dishounorable discharged for something he did not explain but considers hounorable in his books. Maybe he hides his face because of some sort of disfigurement due to battle, or because he doesn't feel 100% comfortable to be a criminal these days.

I think the reliability part is because as he explained 'The Boss' saved his life, therefore he feels a strong martial responsibility to not disappoint 'The Boss'.

Much similar to Nenet who is from an outcast heritage and finally found a group she feels she can relate to, rather than having monetary motivations as someone like Karst.

I noticed that one sorta popular type of character or human personality is missing - a dumby. We never got that in any league ever if I am not mistaken. Every one of them is pretty eloquent and somewhat of a genius or specialist in their field. Sure Tibbs is just big and strong and doesn't like to help planning but he does not come across like a tradiotional dumby when he talks.
