Early on in the Covid Pandemic, GGG made an official announcement that due to the pandemic, it was slowing their work flow, so they were pulling resources off of PoE 2 and putting them on the regular 3 month league cycle.
This would allow them to continue with the 3 month league cycle, but delay PoE 2. They did not specify on how long the delay would be. | |

Check this out. There was a Baeclast with Chris. Recent information & summary where they stand right now: Back in July, they finished act 1 and almost act 2, while trying to reduce the time to complete the acts down to 3 months. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

If everything goes right, a POE2 release (at any level) might be available in Dec 2021.
If you listened to Chris's comments and self-criticism about other releases and why they did not hire certain people to work remotely, you get the idea that there is a planned minimum of 4 more seasons of the current POE. Turns out having a bunch of extra people who can skin cheesy MTX does not get you new content for whole Acts of stories. They said several times that POE will not release before 2022 and beta maybe in 2021. OP just has very outdated info. Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

I wanna say beta for patch 4.0.0 will be in december. 2021. early december 2021.
