Chayula breach is a prime example of 'designing game against the player'

Who may think that a player cannot clear something with troll build. You can try allocating random nodes too, and then be unable to clear high content either.

Any normal meta build could clear it just fine, even Tier 3 or something.

this is my build. and its only flaw is: it is not meta. find an error in it, ill fix it. but dont tell me to use 'better skill' and 'better scaling' (impale vs elemental). because that only shows just how sad and pathetic POEs build diversity is

'normal meta' build.. yep, exactly. so 'play 20 builds or gtfo'? nice build diversity

I'd really like to see one of those mysterious "slow clearing builds" that are so slow that they can't deal with pure breachstones. Blowing up a screen of monsters isn't exactly hard these days, no matter what skill you use.

Searing Bond

Sorry for being unclear, i was talking about actual main skills, not support skills. Not every skill that can do some damage is intended to be a main skill, like you won't try doing endgame content with Moltenshell or Flamedash as main skills either will you?
People mentioned contracts and beastcrafting, I think those illustrate what is being refered to with 'once in a blue moon' (you can imagine how it will be once/if heists go core, as they tend to gut any content further on). As far as timers go, monolith is a major offender to me. It assumes player will go fast build and overall, it's about the same rich will get richer -mentality, whereas once you are top dog, you'll also get exponentially more loot. You can say it's skill in a limited manner, though it has nothing to do with fast reflexes or even thinking necessary, since it's easier for most players to follow guides anyway.

Chayula example was there for its combination of two worse aspects of the game: having timer as a dps check in a content that is once in a blue moon, so that you will actually need to buy said content from other players. I don't like such design.

As for solutions, Alva temple at least lets the player enjoy non-timer once you've cleared all the timers, so it's not full mario kart. Delve is excellent and my favorite, because you can go fast OR slow, delve design allows both even if there is a sort of timer with darkness. Darkness is a way of implementing a timer that I very much give my sincere kudos to GGG. Most of all, it's just plain stupid to gate so much content behind collecting a splinter a month to get there next year.

I won't even go to freeze problems I've experienced with blighted maps, but you can imagine it's a problematic combination to have any unstability (which you sooner or later will have) with a game that gates its content behind fragment/map grind so heavily. Funny enough, most freezes occur to me when there is a timer on, and I don't think it's a rig problem on my part. It used to be but I've updated my computer since. All this contributes to the problem of having timers and heavily gated content in the first place.

This guy is complaining about chayula splinters being rare...

I've nearly completed the 75k IIQ map grind "challenge" and I still haven't found two brothers contract to access the end game league area. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

just bought a chayula breachstone. Crafting bench to pure. profit. Repeated once before i decided to encounter mastermind and wipe my setup.

The game is meant to be play in trade league especially there is no Breach Zana mod this league (and Breach has bad drop for ages)

Explody chest.

Whatever build you name, all I have to say is explody chest and it's immediately viable for chayula clearing.

Next possible great discussion thread in Feedback and Suggestions:
