Incursion / Temple review 3.12 (updated to 3.13)
" SSF is masochism mode that GGG doesn't balance around. If you want the best source of free maps, you get Cartography Scarabs from Rin in Betrayal since temple and Delve both have bugged map drops that don't scale with level. Don't get me wrong, I agree that the temple has value and all it needs are some fixes to make it relevant. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

scarabs / betrayal is yet another topic. just like with the temple - syndicate is the worst way of getting syndicate items (scarabs). but other than that - there is not much in common
oh and fixing one broken thing with another is a sure way of FORCING people into something. that never works. or rather: it 'works' when the rewards are ludicrous and flops when are not. you wont fix temple with scarabs (not to mention that in my opinion scarabs and 'map currency' in general is tedious and unfun concept mostly due to trading required) i wouldnt mind seeing 'betrayal review 3.12' thread, this one shouldnt be it |

What is with the fixation on buffing everything to be 'best in slot'? There can only be one best. Make temple drop the best loot (incursion + elder?) and then everyone is complaining that the other stuff is no longer the best and they're 'forced' to run temples 24/7.
Does the buff-content arms race have an endpoint? And if so, why stop there? |

The 3rd tier rooms really need to feel impactful. There are also a ton of rooms that don't really do anything.
Why not change the room that adds poison plants into a blight room that adds a blight encounter that scales with the tier for more rewards in it. The trap room can offer something related to the lab. Chests with enchants in them. A chest with the super duper lab that came with harvest. 3rd tier weapon and armour rooms should be droping more uniques. Random 5 and 6 links. Gear that has influence on it. Breach and Legion rooms should be packed with more rewards then a typical legion encounter in maps. More rooms could effect what the architect drops. And lastly.. even though this is highly impossible but the final fight is probably the worst fight in PoE, it's just boring. Maybe this is just me so if people feel its okay then I don't mind but its pretty meh to me. |

Stopping the non sense dev's are doing with this spaghetti formula they are doing "nerf old league, move all drops to the newest league to hype the new one" is really not working the rest of their old "core" content is suffering. Normal mapping isnt profitable anymore either, several items are in dire need of redesign not buffs at this point. The more I read your post the more I see "it's fine the game has "content" it's unrewarding if you want rewards play the current league" might as well remove the "core" leagues and play the current one. " the suggestions i agree with - we do not need t3 rooms to drop 'best in universe rares' (altho heist does exactly that) but something that will make you think 'should i pick t3 poison or t3 armoury'? currently these two rooms are identical - they effectively drop nothing. the bolded part tho: Sirus is far worse - it relies on 'rng surprise' (teleport away + die beam) that outright makes lots of builds suffer. that combined with VERY small damage window makes it tedious rng fiesta where you can be shafted by a combination of bad design, rng and bugs. for close-ranged melee - this fight is pile of sh.. Omnitect on the other hand - after facing him/it with low damage build - is not boring at all. if you cannot burst him in 10 seconds or less youll find that the fight is a lot more interesting than Sirus. it is a visual mess tho but POE in general is a showcase how not to convey important information with gfx |

What will you or OP say when temple is buffed to best loot and OP and reddit are complaining that other loot has been left behind? Please fix. |
