You might want to contact GGG via Support. I am a bit out of usual problems, but they might have an idea what's going wrong.

I have sent Support a PM yesterday related to another problem, and I also directed them to this topic as well.
And yes, I know that is odd because it should have connected easily. Thank you for trying to help though. |

It's possible your router is blocking the connection, since you said you don't have access to it you could try an alternate patching port and see if that works - here's how:
Create a shortcut to your Client.exe (found in the folder you installed PoE to), or use the shortcut on your desktop. Right click the shortcut and go to Properties. Go to the second tab ("Shortcut") and add this to the end of the "Target" box: --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724 So assuming you installed to the default location, the whole contents of the "Target" box should look like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\Client.exe" --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724 Or on 32 bit Windows just: "C:\Program Files\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\Client.exe" --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724 Click Ok to close the properties, then double click the shortcut to run the game. Hopefully you'll be able to connect on the new port, please let us know how you get on. | |
It worked perfectly, instantly connected! Thank you very much!
Edit: Now I get stuck at "Contacting server" ingame, when I try to log in ( zone - Europe) Is there a way to access the same port I did when patching the game up? Last edited by Zalmoxis#6725 on Apr 30, 2012, 1:17:22 AM

Oh and when I enter the login screen, even on idle the temperature of my CPU rises from 50 degrees celsius to 70-80 and even almost 90 at times. The GPU also rises from around 48-50 to 75-80.

" I think you missed something here....They cannot get into the game. " So they cannot check the FPS. OS: WinXP SP2 32bit

Yeah, I don't have a solution for that. Maybe Thomas knows.
