Posting fake screenshots is obviously a solid argument that supports the idea that the multiboxing is a huge issue. Obviously the economy is inflated because of multiboxers, nothing to do with anything else. I wonder though, if multiboxing is so common why is there little to no evidence of it? I would love to see a video of someone actually multiboxing.
Wahtever, it's pointless to argue, the same way that in fps games people will call out better players as cheaters, people in ARPG's and MMO's will call out richer players as botters, multiboxers or just accuse them of buying currency from RMT sites. So far I've seen 0 evidence of multiboxing affecting the game at all, in fact I haven't even seen evidence of multiboxing. Closest I've seen was multi loggin, and that's barely viable anymore since the last changes.
ShadyC is just making up numbers out of thin air with no base or evidence to back them up. 'I'd say scrap out the Mirrors, 25% of the Chaos (or maybe just keep all the Chaos), a stack of the GCP's, and half the Exalts.' I'd say remove them all and bring me a non-photoshopped screenshot, then maybe we'll talk.

As the people on this forum have found, Path of Exile is a relatively difficult game to multibox. For one, there is no auto-follow/assist/aim. Lack of movement keys removes the possibility of formations. The characters don't stack, but rather bump into each other like psycho billiard balls. Another issue is the different movement speed of each character, forcing you into using 5 of the same class (unless you figure out a perfect balance between the classes' movement speed or something). There is a big problem with the characters spreading shortly after moving. Spread too far, and it can be a certain death sentence.
(Me) He then goes on to describe a temporary fix, which is nothing short of manually adjusting each character, until they are inline again.
Yeah, this sounds REAL efficient /sarcasm
I know someone who somehow ended up partying with someone who was multiboxing.
What was happening was that their other characters were slightly delayed behind their main. The comical issues that appeared were the player was unable to stop their other characters from dying to random white voidbearers from time to time while picking up loot. It seemed that the player would also miss several loot valuable drops (discussed with friend about 1 in 10) but more than enough to fill his characters and not be that bothered about restarting the whole instance.
In about half an hour of chatting, he got at about 6 chaos worth of stuff. I would like to say it was probably just really good runs, but put within realistic bounds, doesn't sound terribly inefficient at all.

That video is hilarious, did you even watch it before posting it? Not only does he take forever to kill shitty terraces mobs with 3 rangers (because 2 of them are not even hitting the target) but by the end of the video all of his characters are desynced. Definitely seems like a viable way to farm haha.
Please explain what that video proves in your opinion, because all I can see is that it is clunky as shit, annoying as crap because you have to resync all your chars every few minutes, and just overall painful since when you farm something that's not normal terraces you characters will get decimated if it takes so long for you to kill stuff.

I knew it's that one....LMFAO
Look closely, it's simply not very efficient ATM to do it. he began with 4ppl group, at the end of the video, where is the last one? He ran away man XD. So basically multiboxer will have this problem to re-formation his troops every now and then.
I'd say if solo takes 4mins per run, a 6ppl multiboxing will take up 20mins
<now it has to be followed at least in the 1-2 screens to get the benefit.>
Yes I do admit they get advantages, but not vast or huge.
Please record it and stream it while you do 6-multiboxing, I would love to see that in action

This is the issue. 6 chaos worth of stuff....
Know what happens after you get 6 chaos worth of stuff? You get to try and trade what is most likely 1 chaos worth of stuff, for 6 chaos. Will take several hours, but you might be able to get the job done.
And yes, this does sound TERRIBLY inefficient

This is how it was like with my friend describing it.
Take your blinkers off. This is what probably the multiboxer I described was using.

And you really thinkg that it is in any way efficient? 6 chaos 'worth of stuff' in 30 minutes worth of docks runs? Those '6 chaos worth of stuff' are worth a couple of alt shards and alch shards until you actually manage to sell them for those 6 chaos (which realistically is unlikely). And even if he did manage to sell it for that much after a couple hours or let's say half an hour if he was the luckiest person on earth (seriously, who buys loot from docks?) it has taken him 1 hour to get 6 chaos. How is that even close to efficient?
If you play with a full party in docks you will definitely outfarm him.

The quality is terrible because they have NO GEAR. He is clearly JSUT STARTING! ill post you a stream once he gets the hang of things. It sicken me that i start this thread out of hate for Mbing and now im starting to find examples of it being efficient. wtf have these people done to me...
