Who does the game economy really matter to?

I see threads stating what is bad and good for the game economy.

I seriously don't get it. Someone please explain it to me. No, I am not a trade genius, and don't put any real time into gaging what sells for what.

Each league seems to bring a different weighted aspect to what makes an exalted orb cost more or less. And people seem to lose their biscuits over it one way or another.

Who does it really matter to?

Me? No. I play whatever new aspect the league has to offer. Heist? Chests, chests and more chests. I can't get enough of them. Big, little, somewhere in between? Yes please. Economy be damned.

I loved harvest league. I didn't give a hoot about selling anything. It was the first time a casual like myself could polish a turd into something pretty cool.

Yes, I am easily entertained to a certain extent.

The greatest thing ever for harvest league?

That one item right there is king-ding-a-ling for this league. Just don't make more than one at a time as they do take up a lot of inventory space.

Best Regards,

Mostly to rich people, because it makes them richer. Somewhat similar to real life.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
You have to understand that for a lot of people, the economy is one of the most important aspects of the game. They measure league enjoyment based on how much currency they accumulate, and they measure fun in exalts per hour. Some of them creates spread sheets based on hundreds/yhousands of 'runs' in league content, to find the most efficient strategy.

We all enjoy the game in our own way.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Unfortunately, the strong focus on the economy ruins other aspects of the game.

People who enjoy complaining.

no it only amplifies it. an item being worth something makes attaining that item worth it. games like Diablo 3 or WoW that spontaneously dump top tier gear onto your character at carefully selected intervals don't feel worth it, because you just got a piece of gear for no reason. The game just suddenly up and decided it's yours now.

But PoE has an issue where the 99.9999999% of drops you get are worthless. But if I got a watchers eye worth 40+ exalts, but couldn't trade it? It just wouldn't feel as impactful. If I were to sell it, with those exalts I could gear up other characters or improve my one. Can't do that in games with no trade
The economy matters to those who play non-SSF.

If you don't intend to interact with trade in general just play SSF; people cry over anything.
People talk about trade like SSF does not exist...

I just mess about with this game... but those SSF Hardcore people are in a totally different class of player.

If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
