They did do something about bots. They created SSF gameplay.

You do understand that even if they ban all the bots there would be new ones in less then half an hour and they all would do the same.
Do you really think that is so easy to automatically ban bots? People who made bots usually are very good at programming and know the methods how are they detected, so they finds a way to trick them. The market for bots, cheats is huge. I mean very huge, profit from bots/cheats is measured in billions, yeah, billions of dollars every year. Those programmers do only one thing, make better bots/cheats, you can't expect from any company to have the team that will just make programs to detect bots, especially if the game is not e-sport |

It's easy to see that tons of bots are running, you just have to put a common bot-friendly item up for sale and watch the whispers come pouring in from randomly named players.
I put up a Perandus Blazon belt (a 1-alch item) for 2C and the next five minutes was a flood of whispers. I've sold some 1-alch items for as much as 6 or 7 chaos this league. [Removed by Support] I changed the price to 5c (an outrageously high price for that belt, which no actual player would pay) and immediately got a whisper. edit: Apparently Advancing Fortress is another one. they cant find bots but they can ban people without any reason or say anythng so many people got ban but ggg still didnt ban bots bc bots dont buy mtx or supporter packs l thnk

So i got a question.
Cause i got spammed and recently cleared ignore list is full again now 2 days laterr. So instead of RPM click ignore i will click report and : Saying that, Hi my name is xxxx im constantly spamed by bots. Instead of ignoring them i will report them. So my report message will looks like this : Hi it's me xxx again, another bot to check:yyy. Hi my again xxx, again, another bot to check:yyy. Hi my again xxx, again, another bot to check:yyy. " OMG, I thought it was just me. I had a "The Ascetic" listed in one of my crap sell tabs for 10c, spammed by asjmeritr type toons, all linked to level 79 characters ALL with 2 challenges completed. I thought I was going mad. So I listed it for 10EX. I had 20 whispers in about 2 minutes. I went DND in the end due to getting annoyed by the spam. I invited them ALL to actually buy, not ONE came to my hideout. I have reported EVERY one. Guess what, relisted the same item tonight, and getting the same whispers all over again. GGG, seriously? You edit our posts when we upset you, you expect us to be patient with nerfs, bugs, unfinished content releases, etc etc but when we actually TRY AND HELP by reporting these accounts nothing gets done? If you are unwilling to address these bots, at least give us an AH so we don't have to have our gameplay interrupted with fake trade whispers. I was selling this ascetic cheap because I thought it might help a new levelling toon. I did not want to vendor it when it could have helped an alt or new toon. I especially don't want to be forced into vendoring things because of bots targeting items. That is MESSED UP. I loved Path of Exile.
I do not love Path of RNG. Bloom gives me migraines, the over usage of darkness strains my eyes. Save our game, remove all of the constant RNG and allow us to turn off Bloom or give us an in game brightness control! |
