Account locked for no reason

Hi,

I just want to express my concerns regarding my main account being locked. I am a 100% sure I have not done anything wrong that could possibly violate any ToS. I play on Geforce Now on my main account and on this one I do trading(cuz you know you cant copy paste in Geforce Now), so I had 2 accounts active on a single computer, which is allowed. I do not use any macros aside from the trade macro, which is again allowed. Nor have I posted anything offensive in the public chat.

I already contacted support and I guess they're going to say oh it was a mistake and whatnot, but as someone who plays the game a lot and has paid for several supporter packs throughout my time in PoE, I find it very disappointing that I have to wait for several hours( at best) for GGG to look into it. Why not do a proper investigation and then if there is a solid proof that someone did something wrong lock or ban his/her account. This is the first time that it has happened to meet and it's such a nuisance

well I would guess that you got banned for RMT.
The reason for this, is that they see 1 account passing items and currency to the other account for "free". This looks like RMT = ban.
So if you want to do this, put both accounts in a guild and use guild stash for transfers.

RMT = Real Money Trade.

Now explain to me how is giving currency from a trader account to another account considered RMT? Do I pay myself real life money? Lol what are you even talking about? I am allowed to pass currency from one account onto another and I've never done any RMT. And, I do not have to buy a guild stash to transfer currency between my accounts.

And I do see your point that they "see it". But what I was saying is that they can look into it closer and properly investigate before issuing an account lock.

well you are the one banned at the moment, but you will know more when they reply back to you.

I am just saying what other people have been told by GGG after similar things. Any more RMT "bahavior" on the account and it will be perma banned.
That's why you should do it via guild stash.

So why you even need 2 or more accounts if you dont do anything fishy at first place?
If you can have multiple characters on one account and stash tab is share by them.

Because realistically that isn't always possible, pretty sure they say the last time they showed the staff working there that they only had around 20 support staff, that was a few years back and it likely has grown since BUT not by that much and even then the layer base has grown as well, at time of league launches there is a backlog in the weeks (used to be months)

So when it comes to banning people it's really as simple as ban first then deal with it later, because if it is a bot/ cheater then it is likely not their main account and they won't bother their arse contacting support, if it is a genuine player and they contact them then they are willing to look over the reasons why the account was banned then go form there.
This also has the effect of preventing damage to other users game play experience (i.e scammers, bug abusers, botters that have not yet had their bot software dealt with)

And it's not like GGG want to ban people, they want you to play and spend money, so if they are wrong in their ban they will lift it but if they think they are right, no matter how much you may have spent they will ban you.

As it happens I and thousands of other people have been playing since closed beta (2011 at least and 2012 for me) and not been banned once.

Well, I'm not banned, but locked. If what you're saying is the case, then it's super weird cuz what I did is just merely transfer currency between my two accounts, and it's not like I transfer mirrors so that they might think I do trading on an industrial scale. And it's absurd that I have to create a guild and buy a stash tab to be able to trade between my two accounts "Legally". Anyways, thanks for your input man

You clearly havent read my post attentively, have you? Cuz my laptop gets to 100 degrees Celsius if I play PoE on it, so I have to play with Geforce Now. And you cannot conveniently copy paste on Geforce Now, so I do trading on another account. It's so very fishy, isn't it
