The 'Boss' in Heist

On a side note: it's awesome work and fun to see a random NPC each time you are in harbour. Kudos to the one(s) that had this idea. It looks like everybody, from Alva to It That Fled go and make a contrat with The Ring.

I still didn't see Niko or Einhar there, but so far found Cassia, Hargan, Alva, It That Fled, Rin Yuushu, Cameria, Guff, Lilly Rot.

tyvm!
Now that i'm aware i will watch out...
Just do it! And keep it simple -
Things will become complicated by itself.
My working theory on "The Boss" identity is that of Hargan. All the other NPC's think he is greedy, and helped out a thief/rogue (Clarissa)in a tough spot like all the Heist members are. His origin is in Theopolis and then left, same as the Boss. Optional quest 'Wings of Vastiri' in which he sold stolen goods cements it in my mind.

Second theory is that it is a passed down title aka a 'Dread Pirate Roberts'. Best guess on how that would work, is that retired Heist members can become 'The Boss'.

Two solid details about him - that he is very tall and bold. As far as i remember other details are vague.

You can aproach Boss' door in the planning room and Kurai will give random dialogue.

I never knew about that door and certainly never went close enough to trigger the dialogue. I should spend more time exploring, clearly.
Thanks for all the fish!
Kurai is clearly the boss, its a common trope in thieves guild settings that the most visible authorative figure in the guild posing as the only person with direct contact with the boss is actually the boss and they are protecting their own identity by pretending to be second in command

...Chris?

Anyone seen him in game or anything yet? (The boss, not Chris. I mean, he is already Krillson right xD ?)

yes, it's Chris.

I have a feeling it wasn't designed in-house, even if the art assets and VO were.

All of the heisters are versions of poe employees, I'm pretty sure - except for Gianna who is all of GGG/the player

everything that is a description of the Boss, describes Chris at work in the office

I thought the boss was the cat
Speaking of Heist, it's funny that Huck will help you clear maps now when everyone assumed he was the big bad when Heist came out. Nah he's just a chill dude who's mediocre at everything.
