All of this kind of stuff that wasn't in the game when the game first came out... usually it's some 1x1 grid item that the inventory ai plops right in teh middle of everything and then your forced to move it because you can't pick up the piece of chest armor that you just found that has red blue green sockets

That's like 39 squares worth of stuff, right? I think the inventory has 60.

Inventory is needed to be expanded whatever small size defenders says like they can use its small size like no one can use but we all know that bigger is better then small even if u don't know how to properly use it

Small size defenders say like u don't need to pick up all the stuff and u can run 2 or more maps easily..true. If u running white maps all the time.
But if its a juiced map its different

Your English is kind of hard to understand (then again, I am no native speaker, so that doesn't help either), but...

I just ran a T16 150+% map with nice pack size, also had a Zana T16 mission in it. Zana mission was an Elder map, map itself was a Shaper map. Ended up with an inventory about 2/3 full. Rest was hidden by my loot filter, pretty much. No point in picking up most stuff.

That is on Standard, though, but I didn't have problems on league either (in Harvest). Maybe Heist is worse. But I mean, once I run juiced T15+ maps, I don't pick up chrome-vendorable items any more, do you? Worst case, I portal out once per map.

And no, I don't think bigger is always better.

What is your point? It only takes one extra square to block an entire Two Handed Sword and the inventory AI just tosses this stuff in wherever leaving the player to have to move all these little squares around. And the smaller the squares actually are, the more inventory management you have to do.
Inventory AI? Didn't know we had that. It's deterministic where things go, and to me it makes sense where things go (fills up from left, then from top).

Besides, how often do you find a 2h weapon worth picking up? Pretty rare for me. And in the worst case, portal back to town and dump the stuff into your stash (that is probably close to the portal) - takes about 10-15 seconds. Not a big deal.

So tell me how does taking that extra 10-15 seconds 10-20 times an hour actually enrich the gameplay experience? It's the very definition of tedium. And I won't let you try to invalidate my point about two hander space by saying that most two handers are bad. Most items are bad in general.

And also my point about Inventory AI is that there is no intelligence to how it packs our inventory. That was my point.
How does grinding for hours to get an Exalted Orb enrich the game experience?

How does the long entrance to act4 enrich the game experience?

How does grinding for uber lab trials enrich the game experience?

I mean, lots of things in PoE are grind, and kind of the definition of tedium. Guess it is part of the game.

Besides, it's more like once every 3 hours. For me, at least. And yes, I like the fact that I am restricted in terms of inventory space.

increasing the size of the inventory wouldn't change a thing.
ggg would make sure you got the same amount of alteration shards from both inventory sizes

Hmm, from what i can see in this thread no one picks jewelers recipe anymore huh. I might be playing wrong then, but i doubt i would ever have 6l anything without getting those recipe items to amass enough fusings.

The inventory clutter problem became an actual problem when GGG started making so the new league mechanics drops things from all league mechanics at the same time.

Every time you finish a blighted map, or a metamorph in tane or a sinth map, odds are that you will have picked a bunch of different catalysts, fossils, oils, div cards, incubators, fragments(24 types btw), splinters(11 types btw), currencies, currencies fragments, influenced items, unveil rares, jewels and now also contracts, marks and heist members equipment.

This also created another problem, which is having to cycle between 6 different stashes each time you want to store anything.

Of course you could leave all that loot in the ground, we already leave all rares and most uniques there right? But then what's the point of even playing a looter game if you will leave almost everything in the ground, are we already getting to the point where people should only pick exalts and let the bots supply us all the lesser currencies? If so that's a pretty dire future.

im good with inventory as is, like how much shit are you all picking up where you need bigger inv?

With recently added content mainly delirium giving lots of unstackable materials as rewards(scarabs, fragments) as well as lots of new league mechanics(1 blight encounter can take an entire row of inventory worth of oils) like blight, legion and stuff, running delirium maps you often times don’t have enough space to even pick everything up without picking up any uniques or rares. Running a 100% delirious map with certain delirium orbs and you might not have enough portals to pick everything up even if you don’t die a single time. With recent additions I would say an inventory space increase of 35% would fell really great.

I'm of the opinion player inventory is perfect. The only thing I might change is perhaps giving the heist followers a small inventory that you can put items into during a heist.
