How to make orbs - PoE version

owing to an error on the part of yours truly, this lowbie run is messed up. I will have to redo it at a later date.

I believe one of the devs stated recently in a race thread that orbs don't drop more often at low levels. The advantage of this build is it is easy to over-gear a lowbie with iir/iiq gear, especially with uniques like Sadima's Touch, which makes the runs quick and efficient.

A run at a high level with better iir/iiq, if it killed mobs just as quickly, would be more efficient, but it's harder to gear a char at higher levels to do so.

ouch.

could you continue this run from Forest to Fellshrine dungeon and post those results?

Sorry, I can't I deleted the character right after doing the run :(
xleaf is my hero
If you are in default league, just farm ledge and suicide after every run so you don't overlevel... seems like it would be much more efficient and optimizing gear for level 8 could give you a lot more IIQ.
These low level "races" are actually kind of fun. Blew through a ton of alts/trans to make some IIQ gear for lowbies, bought low roll Perandus belt/the lvl 1 IIQ gloves, GOldwyrm, and the lvl 8 rarity ammy. Still haven't gotten a belt or chest to roll IIQ, but it's actually pretty enjoyable to try to rush through Act 1 and 2 as fast as possible. And being on HC, this is doubly challenging because those items don't really have life.

First Trial Run (through Fellshrine):

Had 14% IIQ. Looking forward to getting higher IIQ and seeing what will yield in future runs.
Happy Gaming!

Chestpieces and belts/shields don't roll IQ or IR as a stat.

Also Perandus blazon is pretty much the only MF belt there is.

Hope this was of assistance.

Im about to start trying out this method as well.
3/5th of my major currency drops were before brutus so far.

I just need some IIQ rings, helm and maybe some boot with iiq instead of wondertraps

The weapon is BY far the best for a low lv by a huge margin. I can take a char all the way to act 2 cruel with it. like 250 DPS at lv 8.

edit

So I just did a run to brutus with this gear

On the way to brutus I did mud flats 3 times and rocky climb twice
found this

plus 9 gems including the rewards and on of which was an 8% dual strike before hillock

took maybe 30 min to run to brutus keeping low life most of the time after lv 7 since the sword has 30% run speed on low life.

from levels 2-7 you can max out at 64 IIQ
8-9 64 IIQ and 20 IIR
10-15 64 IIQ and 50 IIR
and at lv 16 126 IIQ and 50 IIR since you get the blazon belt and the "thief's" IIQ prefix max of 10 IIQ

i spent about 50 alterations to get the 5 iiq items and found sadmas

from brutus to mervail

2.09 GCP via --link removed-- from strand to mervail
