Oshabi, Syndicate, and Harvest Crafting.

Just posting to the OP, that I really like this idea. Especially the Guff changes (I always neglect him as it stands). Oshabi as a Forsaken Master is genius. The only issue I see is that Betrayal has specific dialogue directed from many Syndicate members to others, especially in the case where Catarina is talking about one of her four safehouse leaders in the final fight. That means bringing back old voice actors who may or may not be available.

IMO, limiting the crafting options to non-broken ones and providing a re-done garden (please no pylon network, for the love of...) - that would be enough of a compromise going forward.

But if your idea could be done, that would be super cool.

You continue to blow my mind. The game is not designed around having perfect gear. It never has been. 4 x T1 items are incredibly strong. You think that player should be able to determnistically and efficiently craft 99 Life + 144% resists on their equipment (or add a damage mod or two in place of a resist)?

Yes, I do think so. I don't think it is easy to craft such items, it takes me weeks to do so, especially in an SSF setting (may take you one if one plays unhealthy amounts of time in this game), but yes, I think that with some effort it should be possible to perform such crafting.

And if the entire game needed to be redesigned around allowing players to easily access that kind of equipment, why would they do that in the first place?

Two main benefits:

1) Proper crafting, which is an extremely enjoyable experience

2) Less power differential between the top-tier players (who have close to 6T1 or 5T1 items anyways, even in leagues) and the "mid-tier" of players

I know that top-tier players won't like part two (which is I think why a lot of, especially very vocal players, are against it). But let me elaborate: Right now, your average casual player that can get to T15 maps but not easily defeat guardians, Elder, or Uber Atziri probably has half the survivability and less than a third of the damage of the average top-tier streamer (the likes of Empyrean etc.). Now, you can either balance the game for streamers (making a lot of things way too hard for the more "normal", i.e. average player), or you can balance the game for normal players, trivializing the game for streamers. If you were to reduce this power differential, you could balance the game sensibly for both.

I have always wondered why acquiring good items is so damn hard in this game, and what purpose that serves (in my eyes, it doesn't serve any useful purpose and isn't good game design).

Hey everyone, thanks for making this into your personal "Harvest did nothing wrong soapbox", hence why I said I wasn't going to be talking about people's opinions... as you all get into heated arguments about it... exactly as I mentioned

Still waiting on literally anyone to comment on the actual idea . -.

Sorry. But to answer your question: If one doesn't want proper crafting in the game, those options that you list make sense. But I don't like them, especially since they don't include any way to store crafts. Also, they kind of kill the purpose of harvest crafting. I would much rather have proper crafting in the game, so I vote against your ideas.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Thanks for giving your opinion on the idea, I agree with your opinion on the proper crafting, but possibly in a different sense as I am partial to non-rng crafting... as in not Path of Exile's crafting, but I'm doubtful it will become a non-rng system in the future. The lack of storing crafts is something I didn't consider thank you for point that out.

Thanks for weighing in on the idea, and yes it seems either Oshabi would have to have limited interactions with the other members or even worse no interaction, if GGG could not bring former voice actors in. Even if they could it would be a bit costly for such a small addition.
