POE - How much more complicated can you get?

Actually that's the part of PoE that I really like, the theory-crafting, spreadsheets on top of spreadsheets, ..

Not that many games that offer such in-depth possibilities.

HOWEVER, it took me a long while to get to this point of understanding. I can totally see how this can be a turn-off for new players.
First of all, thanks for the constructive responses.

I guess I am just worried about how much more complex poe will be, also POE 2.

This game is heavily showcased and featured by communities of streamers, and as a result POE needs to have a neverending skillcap and chase items to satisfy the top 1%.

Dont get me wrong, I love the way POE is shaping up, especially if the alternative is mindless number upping and lazy, idiotic endless GR system that is diablo.

I am just afraid it will get so out of hands very quickly. Remember we need to have poedb, craftofexile, and TFH just so we didnt screw up any mechanics or crafting. I think GGG is going in the right direction by providing a clearer mod tags and whatnot.

I have been playing in every league since Abyss/bestiary. I can imagine how daunting it is for new and returning players to come try POE and get stuck at learning all these different lewgue mechanics (e.g. betrayal, delve fossil crafting. Etc)
