Unable to download a specific file that is part of the technical patch
|
EDIT:
I found a hotfix! Though it may not allow for stable gameplay for everyone, depending on which file(s) refuse to download, using the --nopatch launch option will force the game to run without attempting to dowload the missing files. Update: Attempting to download the file through a browser that is using a VPN works (as does downloading it via steam), unlike trying to do so using a browser that uses my default route, or doing so through the standalone client. So I guess that's where the issue ultimately stems from. If there's any additional technical information I could provide that might help solve the issue given this context, I'd be happy to provide. All other files seem to have been installed, but a timeout inevitably happens when attempting to download the following file: http://patchcdn.pathofexile.com/3.11.2.1/Bundles2/Art/Models/MONSTERS/LeagueHeist/Armoury/BanditWeapons_4.bundle.bin ![]() It also always specifically happens at 3.25 MB downloaded. I have no idea what might be causing it, and any advice would be much appreciated. Edit: - Attempting to download the file through other means (browsers) results in the same problem occurring. Edit 2: - Thorough multiple attempts do do partial and full reinstalls, this problem has remained the same. Same file, same amount of data downloaded before getting stuck and ending on a timeout. - This did not occur when downloading the file through the steam version, but as mentioned above, if I attempt to download it directly through my browser, it gets stuck at the same amount of data downloaded. (Also even if I do have the specific file, since it still seems that it has to be integrated into the content.ggpk to work on the standalone launcher, the file itself is useless to me). - Others seem to have been able to complete their download on the standalone version, so I'd have to suspect it's on my end, but then again, it's only this specific file, with downloads of BanditWeapons_3 and 5 working without the slightest problem. Have the same issue but with another file. Just keep trying - I've got all files downloaded from 4th or 5th attmept

I must be at roughly 40+ attempts on this file now, so I doubt this is going to randomly change.

If i might piggyback on your topic, i have the same issue.
Hopefully we will be able to download the patch to the fullest eventualy. |

Same problem here as well.

At this point I've lost track of how many attempts I made to get this to work. Worst part is that the new data storage that for some reason is only applied for steam and not the standalone means I can't directly copy paste to fix it. I'd play on steam but I had that account locked for security reasons, and even then there's nothing on it...

Yep, me too! Using Steam worked.

The recent 3.11.2b patch did not fix this issue. It's not a problem as of now since I can use nopatch to skip it, but the file seems to be Heist content assets, so once that League releases this may cause further issues.
Posting this to clarify that although I did find a hotfix, the problem itself has not been solved. |
