Yes, this is probably the first time ever that a game has been influenced by a movie. Pathetic.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the announcement was "Exile's 11 League"... well maybe more like the sequels because it looks like there are 13 Rogues to collect. Pokemon League, Stranger Things League, Raiders of the Lost Ark (or Vaal Temple) League, it's a no-brainer. Art imitates life, but also imitates other Art.

Now, POE and Fast and Furious movies are a perfect match. If it involves hot wiring steam punk vehicles or something, a league like that could even make me start to enjoy the zoom-zoom-boom-boom playstyle.

Sometimes the originality isn't in the parts used, but how they are integrated together.

Pure originality is practically impossible. Name something you think is original, and someone else can likely give you an idea that it borrowed from.

OP is hurt because even with a whole to world to be inspired by they sit in their basement (or possibly/probably parent's basement) tearing others down instead.
