I need your help. I am making a "League Start" themed YT series. Which topics should be discussed?
How about a guild guide, since joining a decent guild and working together on challenges can vastly improve a newbie's access to all the meaningful league mechanics?
I.e. why a guild? how to start a guild, what to look for when joining a guild or recruiting, what guilds do. This would have been helpful for me and my mates at the start. Even if you personally don't care much for PoE's guild system, the average player by himself is going to have a rough time the first league he decides to commit to a build or challenge count. -------------------------------------------- Another good guide might be built around SSF start. What to do when you can't progress...the top 3 flex starter builds that can be modified drastically on the cheap to work around instances that hate you. (You could even word it "Queen Atziri hates these 3 cheap starter builds. Find out the shocking reason why!") [19:36]#Mirror_stacking_clown: try smoke ganja every day for 10 years and do memory game

I second the speed leveling. It took me about a week to finish acts+labs when I started last league (2 days now). Most leveling guides are heavy on step-by-step details but gloss over fundamentals like:
Don't kill anything unless it's physically bodyblocking you or monster level is like +5 over your level. Don't pick up too much loot. Use something like filterblade "semi-strict" for league start and "strict" or higher for twink leveling later. Know the link colors in your PoB and general types of gear needed. Need a 3B 1R helmet? Don't pick up that green Tricorne. Bow build? Don't pick up that 1 socket normal sword. Don't run back to town unless your inventory is full and/or you have multiple rewards to collect and are about to move to next town. Delay optional quests, labs, and even league content until you're stronger (but before the -XP death penalty after Act 10 Kitava). Labs without compass: "Passage" is always the longer route, trial is usually top right or top left corner (right usually). After 2nd trial start checking the map - if you're one node away from 3rd trial and see any door but 3rd trial - check the other corner. --nologo -ns Last edited by Foeglas#2368 on Sep 3, 2020, 10:00:35 PM

I still strongly lean towards leaguestart episode and generating currency.
A episode about how to form a guild would be senseless in my opinion, given how little guilds mean in PoE. A SSF only episode, I think we can couple this to a leaguestart episode. Wasting too much time checking trade or trading 1c items is not very smart if you value your time pushing hard. " Guild stash dumping tabs are an amazing resource toward the end of the league for new/poor players. It's true that they're a ghost town (at least in my guild) at league start though. " Unlucky or inefficient target farms (e.g. Humility cards, chaos recipe) can also be a massive time sink. A brief rundown of disproportionately cheap items (e.g., Goldrim, Jeweller's Touch, simple sextants) would be great for new players jumping into the default league option. Ditto for non-trading tactics that require minimal time investment or stash tab management(e.g., chrome/jeweller/20% quality gem vendor recipes, offhand gem leveling, menagerie flask crafting). --nologo -ns
