Less than a day left of the gauntlet and what a rollercoaster it has been!

VD necro is an inspired choice, to my mind. I ran VD/DD last league and Atziri was a no-go due to the reflection, so I wouldn't have even considered it for an event like this.

VD Necro wasn't inspired but the spectre usage for bonus damage absolutely was, filling the corpse table with blisterlords lmao I loved it so smart.

Darkee definitely smashed it but his UE was pretty sketch, I personally was backing Dan because its just kinda his thing and he has an unbelievable ability to generate gear however Darkee hit all those checkmarks first and tbh on a higher risk character (IMO) totally deserved the stomp.

Personally I had a blast but I need to remember that if you want to compete you need to run something fundamentally busted, not mildly busted that isn't good enough you need a skill that just about works on a zdps tree and realistically has capped block. Also you need ridiculous playtime, like I nolifed it by my standards and I still had 50 hours less played than Darkee when he finished I'm just not that dedicated.

It'd be totally different without harvest though, different rules different skills and probably far less levels and boss kills I suspect. Would definitely participate again though and hopefully next time we'll have a bigger player cap so everyone can get in that wants to.

This was a big takeaway from me for this event too. If poe's competitive side wants to seriously take off, they need to do something about nolifing being mandatory. It's not healthy for the players, also it sort of undermines the skill aspect of competition.

totally agreed yamface, like i'm not asking for them to hand out an advantage or something they could set a very high bar but they should definitely set a bar.

I think havoc did something like 40 hours straight It just isn't good... and obviously its their choice but as a society there are plenty of things we do to save people from their own choices lmao

It helped me feel a bit better about my character though, I was struggling gear wise to do high tier reds but even another 24 hours of gearing in harvest would have made a world of difference. Alas you live you learn!

The event is entertaining and I ws watching how Steemage was doing. I like his style and personality, pretty close to mine. Tho, need to say, I joined to try myself in this race too but quickly realised that for to achieve somth there - need to be professional gamer and streamer (for recording purposes). So, since my PoE experience is not involving a poe as full time job (Even Steel gone overtime doing this, so what to say about those ordinary ones as me), I made a decision to quit race and only enjoy it by watching sometimes. It was fun, but sad - about this race for HC and SSF. Last race I participater, I took some prises, was good and fun..

So what I wanted to say? I think many will be glad to see and join SC race, not like this one, what turned out to be efficient for streamers only..
