Help with "trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill" anyways to control it?

I finally saved up enough exalts to buy a wand that has +1 summon skill gem and the ""trigger a socketed spell when you use a skill' modifier.

It's driving me nuts right now because it's auto casting "raise spectre" and wrecking my ability to summon redemption sentry. Is there a way to limit what it autocast or even stop it from autocasting a skill? Help :(

It's even worse I had a clean desecrate with only redemption sentry. Every map i go into now as I teleport around and cast spells I think it's auto casting "desecrate" for me. When I go back to my hideout to raise some redemption sentries now desecrate is filled with all the junk bodies I didn't want....

Remove skills which you dont want to autocast from a wand slots.
Wand trigger only own skills.
But how do I rise my redemption sentry from the desecrated corpse? I got to be so annoying. 5 corpse on the ground, 1 of them is RS. When I rise one, the wand auto cast again giving me something i don't want....I finally found a work around. Raise 4 spectres without the wand then put the wand back for the 5th one, but it shouldn't be this difficult.
why did you buy the wand with spell trigger mod when you had no clue how to benefit from it?

simply, put the skill you dont want to be triggered out of it and put there some utility skills or whatever that fits your build

While we're all here, just to be clear:

Whenever you use any skill at all, the weapon with that enchant will activate a spell that the weapon is socketed with on your mouse cursor, I assume? Without cooldown, unless the skill itself is on cooldown? (Or maybe an internal CD like with Mjolner?)

If you have multiple spells socketed, it picks one, I assume?

If that is all correct... It seems nice, albeit luxury?

Sounds like you're trying to use it for something it wasn't really intended for. It's meant to be supplemental to your other spellcasting, like a limited (but free of reserve cost) Spellslinger. It only triggers one spell at a time, each spell it triggers is put on 4sec cooldown, and anything that needs targeting is janky to work with.

Edit: Also, it works the same as other triggers in terms of cast order of linked spells if you've got more than 1 in there. Top left socket down through to bottom right. Since you've got it on a wand, it's just top to bottom, obviously.

The socketed skills have a 4 second cooldown. It is mostly used for utility spells like Storm Brand for EE or Wave of Conviction for exposure (or both), that will passively activate while you use your movement skills without having to stop to cast them. It is by no means a necessity, but it is a considerable bonus to the clearspeed of builds that can utilise such support setups.
Raise Spectre is on my armor not my wand
The trigger wand has raise zombies and flesh offering.

Sounds like it shouldn't be auto casting my RS but it is.
That definitely should not be happening. Can you record a video of this?
It's not even possible for the wand to trigger something that isn't socketed in it. Every time you use any skill, your wand is going to cast either Raise Zombie or Flesh Offering unless they're on cooldown (or unless there aren't any corpses nearby at the time). Those are the only active skills socketed in it, so those are the only skills it can trigger.

You're definitely confusing something with something else.
