what the heck killed my 109k life Animated Guardian with elemental army?
I was running vaaled promenade t16 map and noticed almost 30 seconds in that all my 73k life zombies and 109k life Animated Guardians died. I don't understand... What could have killed them? I thought they were supposed to be more durable. My 3exalt AG is now gone...
I have minion life, elemental army, and level 4 empower on my zombies and AG, I thought they would be invincible... Anyone know how they could have died?? Last bumped on Jul 27, 2020, 11:27:50 AM

I went back into the map and even my 118k life chaos golem is taking chunks of his life out. I don't understand the game mechanics well enough and I'm always trying to off screen things so I'm still not sure what's killing my precious minions???

Perhaps reflect damage mods on the map?

Is physical reflect that powerful? I don't even have minion damage linked to my zombies or AG...

Well, consider that your damage output is galaxies ahead of your ability to take incoming damage. If you were to attack yourself, you'd 1-shot yourself 30,000 times over. So, even though reflect mods are a "small" percentage reflected back at you, it's still enough to be silly.
I imagine your minions probably have the same issue? I play Elementalist, and the immunity to ele reflect is so nice... I can't imagine playing anything else for an elemental caster. |

I read on reddit that Halls of the Grand Master melts all types of minions, which is what I was running in maps. I still don't believe it could have been physical reflect... I dunno, anyway, gotta rebuy my AG now.

" Yeah, if it's HOGM, it wasn't Reflect, it was the fact that all Monsters in the Map are actually Exiles created by other players, and even though the Map is subject to PvP scaling, POE will be POE. Players build characters that output ridiculous amounts of damage. The exiles in HOGM are no different. (I'm not sure if PvP scaling puts Minions at an extra disadvantageous spot compared to PvE environments.) Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

o, so that's what halls of the grandmaster is all about. wayy back from 2015. lol. I wished I could've purchased that pack and got immortalized lull. I wonder if a summoner class could have gotten immortalized there...
So are the HOTG exiles always drawn from a random pool of saved characters or is it the same ones each time, I don't feel like running it again since I just completed it. (died a few times) And are there any minion or summoner based exiles in it? That would be cool (for me) :) |

Unless his AG was built for damage, I doubt it killed itself with reflect. My best guess is that it died to a Beyond demon. Some of them, especially Abaxoth, are really brutal on minions, which aren't smart enough to run away from them. I've lost multiple AGs this way. Even if your map didn't have the Beyond mod, there's a Bloodline mod "Voidspawn of Abaxoth" which spawns a random Beyond demon when they die (not necessarily the big A, but possibly including him).
