Difference between Blizzard and GGG

Blizzard is making games nowadays that millions will be sure to buy and play for years. That is why they are not catering to just the "hardcore" players anymore. They are established and need to make huge profits. They do not care if they lose a few thousands if it means gaining millions.

GGG is a small indie company so it has to start out by attracting the "hardcore" players and find a niche where it can steal some of the players from Diablo. They have to satisfy customers and be kind and listen very much to the community. All companies start out this way.

For example, look at Riot games they started out as a small company and are now a monsterous company that no longer listen to the few, but instead make stuff for the masses and have changed a ton in the way they make things and the way they treat players.

In the end i think both Blizzard and GG have a quality action RPG. I will be playing both games.

I don't like a lot of blizzard games anymore, but i do respect the audience that its catered to (Been to asia recently? ya, they are all over ANYTHING starcraft) and I also see WoW's market (North-american RPG and table-top gamers.) The Diablo franchised invented this genre and I do think that newest game is a big let down, but i still let the people who want to play it have *FUN*.

FUN is a keyword people; those WoW players or SC players probably haven't been playing much else then their respective games. maybe D3 is a throwback to a more (dare i say it) casual based game. Instead of thinking about d3 as the "One-ARPG-To-Rule-Them-All" think of it as a way for us to start to funnel people who want more Depth and emmersion in their ARPG, into PoE.

everyone should put the word out for PoE a bit, and tell people that they know on unrelated forums or in real-life (*shudder*) about this game. Fuck, maybe they'll enjoy this MORE then d3. I know I have.
