I am still a little confused on what the mod should be on the Vanity when using Soul Tether.
Are we still looking for Divine Flesh and if not, what are we looking for (Corrupted Soul)?
I have also seen some people using the Soul Tether belt and no Glorious Vanity jewel (they are just using a regular jewel in that socket instead)
Look at my profile. You no longer want Divine Flesh (though thats in the POB link i sent you).
You want Immortal Ambition + Corrupted Soul. Can get there by either [Soul Tether + Dyorani Glorious Vanity ] OR [Replica Soul Tether + ahuana Glorious Vanity]. with that combo and suboptimal gear i have 8K+ EHP, 5 Charges always up, Fortify as needed, 76/75/76/11 Resist and great DPS.

I need to better understand why the BuDiu build using The Devouring Diadem does not use Corrupted Soul. I think it may have something to do with the Devouring Diadem using Eldritch Battery which may not play well with Corrupted Soul...

yes - i think he commented a little after about the interaction and said not to use diadem + glorious vanity. i personally was having trouble with the diadem version (didnt feel as tanky though it was probably just me and my gear) so switched back to the life version with soul tether and feel pretty strong.
i did take some of his tree changes though to get a little more dps and took away a few life nodes. obviously YMMV based on gear and playstyle.

You want a combination Corrupted Soul and Immortal Ambition.
Regular Soul Tether gives Immortal Ambition whereas Replica Soul Tether gives Corrupted Soul.
Glorioous Vanity; Doryani gives Corrupted Soul whereas Ahuana gives Immortal Ambition.

I used Soul Tether belt from around lvl 60 'til early 90's when I could afford a Glorious Vanity for the "leech doesn't stop when at full life".

As an aside, getting Flammability on Gloves to open up a spot for desecrate looks nice with Feast of Flesh from Diadem.
