Yes, I know.
...but that's besides the point. Having it as an implicit on any weapon makes it good. For a caster, being able to use a sceptre or a wand and thus having the ability to roll for caster modifiers directly, makes it a very rewarding mod to get. Maces are very limited in their potential for casters. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

" Incorrect. Of course it's a massive benefit, but I wouldn't imagine doing a Simulacrum without explosions. Late wave mobs have so much health that the damage that is dealt in an AoE is humongous. Sitting in HO spamming alts for 4 hours straight is peak PoE gameplay. Thanks, Chris.

You can have it as an IMPLICIT, meaning you can have free space for your suffix and prefix slots on a weapon. " All of the explody synthesis mods for 1H weapons up for sale right now are priced at 1 mirror because they are actually crafted with good rolls. Literally even without the explody mod these weapons are pretty gg tier. The influence mod takes up a suffix slot, it's not that big of a deal for phys scaling weapons unless you're trying to craft a 6xT1 weapon. Attack speed is pretty much the only mandatory suffix on a phys weapon. Then you have 1 other suffix for whatever you want, probably crit. The biggest downside of the influence version is like the other guy said: it can't chain the explosions, but it does its job at corpse removal. |

I think the explode mod in general was a very bad addition to the game. It just makes casters the undisputed killingmachines and feels mandatory on most melee builds.
