One funny thing about harvest.

I'm one of those weird players that enjoy these types of leagues. To be quite frank if they treat harvest the same way they did bestiary they might as well not even bother making it core.

Bestiary was by far one of my favorite leagues and they butchered it to the point of being almost totally useless. If it wasn't for the aspects and unique items almost no one would even bother with it.

Hopefully, they will just tone down some of the crafts and streamline the garden a bit and call it a day.

So true. I'm picturing OP standing outside of a supermarket chiding people for spending money on tomatoes and lettuce when seeds are so cheap. Why aren't you all planting your own tomatoes?!? It's so cheap and easy! They're not worth the shelf price you're paying!!

And you'd be right, but much like what you're seeing in the PoE environment, people don't care. They don't want to take 5 minutes to learn what depth to plant the seeds at, how much sun/water they need, nor take the 15 minutes per week weeding a tiny garden. They just want their tomatoes NOW DAMMIT.
The funny thing about Harvest is still going to come. A month from now we'll start seeing reddit threads about how players can't sell anything anymore. "League dead", "Too many bots", etc.

This will actually be due to there being too many good items in circulation and thus little demand for items. But players won't realize this and instead complain about how they can't sell items to get currency anymore because of bots, etc.

It's coming soon.

For a sense of reward for time spent playing the game. You can see your stash growing slowly. It will grow a lot more slowly as Harvest ages. So less reward for time spent online playing.

Look at Atziri Promise flask as an example. Still a really good item for many builds but it gets vendored because it is too abundant. There's no sense of achievement or feeling of reward when you get one as you cannot sell it for much (even if you don't want to sell it). The same will start happening to good rare items.

wait here was a thread with exactly this problem, someone not able to sell
and not everyone uses the GG items he finds or crafts but rather wants to sell them

That's the thing about POE. It has a huge variety of different builds and thus also a huge variety of items. So when playing it's highly unlikely that someone will find a good rare and it will be great for their build. It will usually be great for one of the other 50 builds people are playing. So they'd put it for sale and get a stack of currency from it with which they would then progress their own build.

With easy crafting, that item that drops will be worthless as you'd never be able to sell it. Nobody will ever pick up rares again except maybe once for the base to scour and craft.

or from people that can't :P
3.26 when?
Don't abandon us. don't turn your backs on the ones loving poe.
Well since they have already admitted that the level of god tier gear being crafted in Harvest is not going to ever go core, the people that enjoy spending cycles of gardening better enjoy it now.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
