Warcry Cooldown Incorrectly Being Modified?
Supporting warcrys e.g. intimidating cry, seismic cry, and enduring cry with Second Wind Support or adding quality to the gems causes cooldown time to increase instead of decrease. I had 2 second cooldown times on both intimidating cry and seismic cry and the cooldown times increased to 2.89 seconds after using the gem quality vendor recipe.

" Hello there. Are you referring to the recipe that changes the gem to lvl1|q20 ? Cause if yes, that explains the cooldown time increase, because the increased cooldown recovery speed provided by the gem scales with its level. Cheers. PLEASE QUOTE ME IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A REPLY

" Hi, I am referring to the vendor recipe that changes gems to level 1 and 20% quality. Nope, it is not an issue of level. My intimidating cry at level 20 and 0% quality has a longer cooldown time than it has at level 20 and 20% quality. At max level and quality, my cooldown time went from 2 seconds to 2.89 seconds. I think generic cooldown recovery speed modifiers from gem quality and support gems like Second Wind Support are not being correctly applied. Last edited by Wyss#1671 on Jul 5, 2020, 1:14:04 PM

" My bad, i thought you used the recipe on Second Wind (and were comparing a 20/0 to a 1/20). PLEASE QUOTE ME IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A REPLY Last edited by xhul#1978 on Jul 5, 2020, 8:22:28 PM

I think what is happening is generic cooldown recovery and warcry cooldown recovery are not working together properly to modify cooldown time. I have several sources of warcry cooldown recovery from the tree and Redblade Banner. My friend with no warcry cooldown recovery passive skill investment is able to socket Second Wind Support on warcrys without the bug.

" It could be due to the fact that they don't interact additively as expected. But since cooldown recovery speed calculation implies a division, the final cast time could grow instead of shrink. Could you post some concrete values so that i could do the maths to verify such theory ? More specifically : - warcry name - sum of "x% increased cooldown recovery speed" values (gem+equipment+passives) - sum of "x% increased warcry cooldown recovery speed" values (gem+equipment+passives) - final cooldown time seen in the tooltip Thanks in advance. " Hi xhul, here are the details as requested: - intimidating cry (lvl 20 | q0) - total cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 0% from equipment + 0% from passives = 0% increased - total warcry cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 50% from equipment + 105% from passives = 155% increased - final cooldown recovery speed: 2 seconds - intimidating cry (lvl 20 | q20) - total cooldown recovery speed: 10% from gem + 0% from equipment + 0% from passives = 10% increased - total warcry cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 50% from equipment + 105% from passives = 155% increased - final cooldown recovery speed: 2.89 seconds - seismic cry (lvl 20 | q0) - total cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 0% from equipment + 0% from passives = 0% increased - total warcry cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 50% from equipment + 105% from passives = 155% increased - final cooldown recovery speed: 2 seconds - seismic cry (lvl 19 | q20) - total cooldown recovery speed: 10% from gem + 0% from equipment + 0% from passives = 10% increased - total warcry cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 50% from equipment + 105% from passives = 155% increased - final cooldown recovery speed: 2.89 seconds - enduring cry (lvl 19| q20) - total cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 0% from equipment + 0% from passives = 0% increased - total warcry cooldown recovery speed: 0% from gem + 50% from equipment + 105% from passives = 155% increased - final cooldown recovery speed: 2.25 seconds Actually, thank you for undertaking the calculations. I appreciate it. Last edited by Wyss#1671 on Jul 7, 2020, 9:50:17 PM

" Thanks for your time. Took me a bit to realise that you have 117% from passives, not 105%, but nobody's perfect, i guess. I would have expected the opposite, but according to my calculations, it appears the final cooldowns you get are absolutely correct for q20 gems, but definitely not for q0 ones. More specifically, for a q0 intimidating|seismic cry, you're supposed to get a final cooldown of 3s (8/2.67), not 2s. I'm still trying to figure out what causes that. By any chance, could you tell the final cooldown you get with a q0 intimidating|seismic, but without the shield equipped ? We'll find the culprit ! " Ah my bad, I miscounted one of the passive nodes. Without Redblade Banner equipped, the cooldown time is 3.69 seconds for both gems at q0 and 3.52 seconds for both gems at q20. | |
" That's what i suspected, the shield is involved. We have 2 things left to figure out : 1) Is it only a tooltip display bug ? The only way to verify that would be to manually count (using your brain) the cooldown with a q0 intimidating|seismic (shield equipped), and see if it's 2 or 3 seconds. 2) Is the shield bugging the cooldown on q0 gems only ? The best way to verify that would be to check the tooltip cooldown with a q1 intimidating|seismic (shield equipped).
