Zizaran's builds/guides SUCK!

He's a great guy though. Seems so, at least.

Don't want to sheit on the guy because he is really nice, but last League I followed his Shadow Blade Vortex guide, and was really dissapointed because it could barely clear T1 maps so I had to respec completely.

Then I read some youtube comments in this build video, and found out other people were having the same problems as me. Now, I don't trust Ziz's build guides anymore.

Imho his guides are too shallow and 'theoretical' (not tested in practice) compared to some other popular guides where the creators are really passionate about their builds, know their builds inside out and test/upadate them every League.

I can't really judge Ziz because he is streaming a lot so it's only understandable that he won't have enough time to make a thorough build guides. I would only trust him if he actually played the build himself for a decent amount of time to prove that it actually works in practice too and not just on paper.

Huh, why not go with whats proven to work and not what a celebrity streamer is doing

You have no added damage on the rings and are using a reverberation rod which also gives you basically no damage. Also just a 4L at level 82 :/

If you use some of the seeds to craft better items you'd have way fewer problems in maps.

The build is fine. I haven't played it but a friend is and it clears red maps no problem.

The problem with most build guide complaints is people don't actually follow them, they cut corners because they think various elements don't matter when infact they are pretty integral.

If you knew what you could cut from a build you'd be making your own builds :p follow the guides, don't cut corners. If it still doesn't function bring it up and someone will point out what doesn't work people are always helping over on the gameplay section if you need build advice.

That isn't a specific criticism of you guys btw its just general advice for when you get stuck

Yeah it's funny to see someone bashing a build and when you see their gear... oh lord.
Read the guide(s) carefully, people.

There's always been a glaring issue with copying builds and relying on guides - quite often the end result is a function of specific items, interaction between mechanics enabled by certain items, specific character progression.

The more advanced is the source of the guide, the highest the chance is to fall into a noob trap.
That's why if a person is willing to follow guides, rather stick to "noob friendly" tagged ones. As these usually incoprorate easy to use skills, simple mechanics, general equipment.

Basically, avoid guies and learn by yourself. You can always crop ideas, but don't follow blindly.

Some people are still new and learning the game, thus this is why they are often following a guide.

In my opinion it's peoples egos thats a problem. If something is wrong, it's never their own fault. Instead of trying to analyze what's wrong, they are very quick on the blame trigger.

In poor words: guides made on 10-20min videos are bad for reference

I just checked his guide and it seems he can at least clear wave 17 in similacrum while playing SSF HC league.
