" This. You're playing Standard. Standard is commonly referred to as the "trash bin league" because it's a cesspool of god tier legacy items that are not just OP, but literally break the game when used on certain builds, among many other things. You have to understand that the focus in POE is the temporary league that changes every 3 months, just like D3 has its leagues. Yes, you can play the neverending Standard league if you want to progress endlessly, but there are caveats and you've bumped into a some of them. That's all that's going on here, there is nothing to "fix". When you corrupt your items, you're accepting that they will not be changed ever again. (except for sockets/colors at a huge vaal orb cost at crafting bench) This remains true forever, even if massive changes happen. Sometimes that's a good thing, when items get nerfed, and sometimes, like in your case here, it's a bad thing when they get buffed. That's just the way it works. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done. Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. 'Cause it's a bitter sweet symphony this league.
