My Harvest League Feedback

Harvest League: the mechanic is annoying, to slow, and ultimately a complete waste of time.

The Harvest waypoint is up on a pedestal hindering pathing to and from the seed stash, and exiting the grove via the WP. No one wants to have their pathing blocked by obstacles.

The Harvest zone doesn’t have stash access. I understand why full stash access is not granted, but seriously, the seed stash is a stash. Why doesn’t the seed stash have open slots like the Currency, Essence, and Fossil stash tabs, where you can place/store items you intend to craft? 3 or 4 “item” slots in the seed stash should be good. And there is space for this.

Auto-plant needs a configuration option to use lowest level seeds first. It’s tedious, annoying, and slow to have to move stacks of my lowest level seeds from my seed stash to my inventory and then click auto-plant. I have to find them. I have to count them. I have to make sure I only grab 24. If I miscount, that sucks. All the highest level seeds get planted and I’m left holding the lowest seeds. At this point, I just throw them on the ground, because searching for a highest one to replace with the lowest is yet more wasted time. A checkbox in the seed stash for this option would be nice.

The current implementation of Harvest notifications is annoying. If I plant 24 Tier 1 seeds at a collector, I don’t want the game to notify me that my Harvest is complete until all 24 seeds are ready. The same applies for any given number. There is no circumstance where I want to be notified of completion if not all the seeds I planted are ready. One trip to the grove is time consuming enough. Going to the grove and finding "done" is "not done" is annoying and a complete waste of time.

Harvest crafting is annoying. After harvesting the plants, the entire list of crafting options is almost always useless. Even when you get RNG lucky and actually get something that you can attempt, it’s still nothing but an attempt. You get nothing but a category. You have to be RNG lucky again to hit the correct affix type from the category. And then on top of this, you have to be RNG lucky yet again to get a good value. Do you know how many times this league I would have been far better off in both time and gear by just jumping into my hideout and using the crafting bench… to many times to count. Quite honestly, about the only time the Harvest crafting will ever be good is in end-game: where you are completely geared, and you have an open affix here and there for an “exalt” craft that ultimately doesn’t matter if you hit or miss; or you are creating/crafting items.

When you finally get a craft you want to attempt, harvest crafting is frustrating and unintuitive. For example, “Set sockets to 4”. On the surface, this is both desirable and easy to understand, especially when you have an item you want to set to 4 sockets. So you place your boots, gloves, or whatever item that can have 4 sockets, and click craft. Result, denied: “Item level is too high”, “Item level is too low”. This is some serious frustrating and unintuitive BS, especially when item and currency drops are based around Harvest crafting being in the game. Another example, “remove a random physical mod”. Place an item with a physical mod you want to get rid of. Click craft. Result, denied: “item doesn’t have a physical mod”. Yes it does. I’m looking at. And if the game deemed the item to not have a physical mod on it, despite the mod being there plain as day, then the game should have disabled the craft as soon as I placed the item and not let me click craft in the first place. A third example along the same lines, “reforge an item with caster mod”. Place an item that can have a caster mod. Click craft. Result, denied: “base type cannot have a caster mod”. Yes it can. I see caster mods on the placed base all the time. And as before, if the game deemed the placed item was unable to have a caster mod, the then game should have disabled the craft as soon as I placed the item. Needless to say, I’m beyond annoyed by this. The elation of finally getting something you can attempt from all the useless options and time spent gets turned into immediate frustration.

Harvest crafting is too much micromanagement. POE is an action RPG. Too much travel time back and forth between the game and the grove. Too much time selecting and planting seeds. Too much time positioning and repositioning collectors, pylons, storage tanks, dispensers, etc. Too much time scrolling through useless RNG crafting options. Too much time storing lifeforce.

Its basically like pet battles in WOW, one of the worst features added there.

A feature that has nothing do with the base game in terms of gameplay, its not desired by the core playerbase, disliked by many, but offers main game rewards if you somehow find the motivation to do it, so you somehow feel like you are missing out for not doin it, but when you do it you literally suffer because its so boring.

A lose lose situation really...
Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
It's repetitive. It's best to go plant seeds when you find them. You want your field full of plants to be most efficient. It could show how many plants are done, for example if 10 plants are done out of 20 then it could show 10/20 completed. Needing tier 2 plants around tier 3 plants is annoying. They could simply not need anything or tier 1 plants are fine. It could simply be a requirement that your entire field has to be grown.
Item levels simply shouldn't matter. If they really want they could make crafting options be based on plant levels.
Anything that has physical in it's line should be physical based, anything that has life in it's line should be life based and so on.
You shouldn't have to take gems out of sockets if you craft unless it's socket related. Having to take out 6 gems from your items every time you want to craft them is really annoying. It's especially annoying during leveling. There are cases when you can do crafts that are always positive.
I still don't know what a dispenser does. I don't think it was explained well enough.
It could've been a lot better if you just found crafting stations in maps instead.
I just want to play PoE and not think so much, so i could just ignore the league. It could be easier to manage for people like that.

Yes, an "x/y" (ex. 10/24) plants grown would be welcome.

Also, yes, I forget about the annoyance of having to remove gems from the sockets. Unless doing a craft the alters the socket count or colors, we shouldn't have to remove the gems from the sockets in to craft.

And yes, I just want to play, not micromanage.
I hate poe crafting as it basically consist of spam of whatever currency to get random crap that most likely will be not be what I want

this league takes that concept and make it into league mechanic but to make it worse combines it with with most awful clunky interface I have seen

and once you figure out whats what you then encounter bugs/features as op describes

Pretty much, imagine if we could just, dunno, sacrifice items that normally drop to gain some kind of 'power' pool for the each mod type the item has and you could spend those points to roll and reroll items with mods of that type. You could choose which items to sacrifice and gain more points of the type you need more, and some mods could have a chance to give you advanced crafting options, like adding a mod of that type or rolling with multiple mods, and you could get socket crafts the same way. Would be nice, no garden to water, and normal drops suddenly have a purpose.

We can only hope they realized that their fully random items thing never really worked properly and this league is really a testing ground for poe 4.0 which will have a similar system baked into the core game.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

you can open the seed stash from everywhere in the garden by pressing v.

they can't put a stash there cause the garden is accessible from maps.
but you can access your stash from the garden in readonly mode, although they could have made the button more noticable.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

i love this game and i have this league again a lot of fun with new skills , items and and and.....

BUT.. this league mechanic is realy bad... i play hack and slash / arpg games because i love grinding... i realy dont like wait , read and look what any plants do..

please more like delirium and less like gardener.
It sucks. It's slow, not fun and not even worth your time in the end. I'll probably end up skipping it in my maps and then move on to an other game waiting for next league to come up HOPEFULLY with something better.

I honestly think this is by far one of the worst league along with Synthesis.
Even just resetting the League and stay delirium would be better than this. this feels like the real out of date april fools joke. i dont even klick this bs anymore or pick up the seeds. its so unrewarding and slowing down the game so much... if they really want to make POE2 like this im done with this
