How to improve Harvest in some simple steps

1.
Tier 2 seeds should be monocolor in terms of requirement.
Example: Vivid t2 should only require condensed vivid to grow, not any other lifeforce
Tier 3 seeds should require 2 colors, t4 should require all 3.

2.
pylon range has to be increased by 1 or 2,
dispenser coverage has to be increased by at least 1...

3.
Tier 2 seeds should also have a "auto-plant" function.
Since they all require the same lifeforce, there is no reason not to allow that now

4.
Seeds you pick up while in a map should always be transferred to the seed stockpile instead of into your inventory.
You should also be able to open your seed stockpile while in a map.
(you could even make a small "new" icon for new seeds)

5. Remove the level requirement of crafts above level 68.
It sucks so much to have a good craft but then not be able to use it because "itemlevel is to high"...

Right now the things that drives away almost every player is the complexitiy of the setup which is caused by some questionable design choices about the infrastrucuture.

WIth the above mentioned changes setting up a good garden would be easier and more intuitive.

Current system:
yellow field - pylon - tank - dispenser with small area - yellow t2 field that also needs blue lifeforece.
blue field - pylon - tank - dispenser with small area - yellow t2 field
Now plant every t2 seed manually in the small area that is covered by both dispensers...
And then not be able to craft anything because item level is to high.

system after changes:

Yellow field --> yellow condensed lifefore -> feeds yellow t2 seed --> gives t3 seed
or in other words:
yellow field - pylon - tank - pylon - dispenser - yellow t2 field - one click to plant all yellow t2 seeds --> get nice reward.

Please make some big changes to the infrastructure, all my friends all alrdy looking for other games....

you are clearly missing the point my dude.
Ever tried a rubics cube?
Just because there is a solution, doesnt mean everyone wants to find it.
If something is to complex to be fun players will leave.
Not adressing that is player retention suicide.

So keep your tips for yourself :P
Just looking at this layout makes me want to uninstall this game.

From my point of view, as long as map drops/sustain are not tied into any league mechanic, the league is golden.

If you have to skip the mechanic for the game to feel engaging then GGG failed with the league idea and implementation.

The reality is this league=standard with a side garden. Crafting is fine like Betrayal because they built this very cool stuff around how it works and you can engage it while clearing maps.

This is so bad. Defending it is insane.

Literally every league in POE.

I don't agree as I said adding content that's engaging and introducing a fresh economy makes things interesting but losing either one ruins the experience.

Harvest stands out as truly terrible.

Absolutely not. I've personally enjoyed every one of them (more or less) in the last 2 years.
But with this, i'm not going to bother.
I have lots of good gear in standard and leveld chars. Some legacy rares too. Should then play there without of hassle to grind crap from 0.

Why is it that every time someone says they dont enjoy this league, everyone thats defending assumes it has to do with the person not knowing how the mechanics work and how to set up the garden? While that might be true some of the time, most of the people dont' like the league AFTER they figure out how the garden works and set it up. It is tedious and it is boring. I'm not discounting that there are some people that can't figure it out. But even with perfectly understanding it, its simply not enjoyable.
Bingo. Tedious and Boring.

It beats Delirium league where that league=standard for players who aren't running braindead speed clear builds or Metamorph where league=standard for players who aren't running boss killing builds.

I spent most of Delirium treating it like standard. It was bad. At least Harvest isn't stopping you from enjoying it because you like playing builds not designed to farm it.

Personally, I like Harvest. It's nice to have a complex league that feels like one of the bigger leagues we had before Legion, where you need to do more than shut your brain off for 3 months and maybe run builds you don't like in order to make progress.

To put it more simply: Not every league appeals to everyone. I loved Blight and Metamorph, but hated Legion and Delirium. Harvest just happens to be one of those leagues you don't like.

EDIT:
I should make it clear that I'm not saying this league doesn't have its faults. I agree with some of the suggestions in the OP like extending pylon range and seeds immediately getting put in seed stash. A couple small improvements can make a big difference.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Simplifying why delirium was better than this league.

It was engaging, all it did is add difficulty and loot to maps. Herald stacking aside I liked it quite a bit. Simulacurums were nice and so were cluster jewels.

This league isn't engaging at all. I don't need to zoom with a headhunter to have fun in this game but I do like to feel like I'm interacting with the league content while simultaneously being able to go through the map and make progress on my atlas.

And there's no added feature. Delirium at least had Cluster jewels to change how people customized there tree's and had end game boss content with waves 1-20.

All we have here is a garden which isn't difficult or hard to understand. It's just tedious for no reason.

That does oversimplify the league a little. Harvest offers new crafts you don't have access to from Betrayal or Bestiary which helps encourage players to craft rather than trade to get the gear they need. If you don't play SSF and don't mind trading, sure this league might not offer much for you, but it offers a lot of potential for gear progression for others.

That's not to say the league doesn't have its tedium like you said. I just think these can be ironed out which is what GGG tends to do after a week or so past launch.
