Skitterbots + Bonechill support

I apologize, but I don't understand if it works from the answers here.

1. Skitterbots + Bonechill = 14% chill effect
2. Use Cold Damaing Skill, Frostbolt etc...
3. Frostbolt does 14% more damage (assuming no other enemy takes increased damage effects, e.g. the helmet redeemer mod or unnerve)
Simple test: if Bonechill increases the reservation of Skitterbots, then you know there is a beneficial interaction (bugs aside). If not, then they do not interact with each other.
I don't think Bonechill will work this way to stack multiple increased cold damage taken mods. Enemies can only be chilled by 1 chill at a time, the strongest chill. If an enemy walks into a chilling area while getting chilled by a hit, only 1 chill applies, and therefore only 1 bonechill bonus.

So the question would be: Does chilling from Cold Snap and Skitterbots at the same time give both Bonechill bonuses... Since only one chill is applied at a time but both are active.

From wiki:

In all four situations the chill must be caused by a skill, regardless of whether the cold damage originates from a piece of gear, or the skill gem itself. If the enemy is affected by multiple sources of chill, (for example, Vortex both hits and creates a chilling area) only the strongest chill will receive the damage bonus.[1] Notably, sources of chill such as Aquamarine Flasks will not provide a damage bonus, since a flask is not a skill, and flasks cannot be linked to support gems.

So you can't get the effect from using two different skills which makes sense eg. Vortex and Cold Snap but is Skitterbots a special case or does this rule still apply? If you can't get both then the Cold Snap in my build does nothing and I need to drop it. I think it does nothing now after reading a bit.

This thread actually did help me min-max a bit more. Didn't think I could fit in more stuff. Dropped the triple balanced resistances and got a lot more damage as well:

So I removed the Cold Snap because after reading a bit. It doesn't seem like you can have two bonuses from Bonechill as only one chill ever applies at a time. So the Skitterbots + Bonechill works but there's no point in using Cold Snap + Bonechill as well as you can't stack it.

One last concern I have is the following and there seems to be no answer/discussion online:

I'm also applying chills from my Winter Orb hits. If the chill effect from my Winter Orb hits is greater than the chill effect on Skitterbots, then am I removing the bonus "increased damage taken" from linking Skitterbots to Bonechill as my chill is then the one applied as it's higher? So I end up doing less damage which means I need to avoid taking chill effectiveness nodes so that my WO chill effect is low. This would mean I need to make sure my chill effect is not increased by over the 63% which Skitterbots get?

This is a good question. Hopefully we can find some official GGG response on this. But my assumption is it works similarly to how Combustion support and ignite works.

Multiple sources of chill can "exist" on an enemy, but only the strongest chill actually is active and slows the enemy (up to the 30% chill slow cap). However, as long as that bonechill chill exists on an enemy then the damage bonus should apply.

I don't think overriding the chill will cause the bonechill damage buff to drop. I can find examples of players discussing this online, but can't find any official response, so take this with a grain of salt!

Yeah, I went and reduced my chill effectiveness to only 40% just to be sure. But it would be nice to know if Skitterbots + Bonechill "increased cold damage taken" would still work if my chill overrides their chill. You can't take both cold clusters on the top of the tree if it overrides as you'd be higher than 63%.
