I want to use a macro that casts a Warcry when I leap slam; Is this legal?
|
I want to use a key macro so that when I press my leap-slam key, an instant-cast Warcry will also be pressed so that they are used simultaneously. Is this legal, or strictly verboten?

its not allowed
a macro is only allowed to perform 1 action this could be closeing the game, open a portal or message a friend in your case the first action would be the warcry and the second action would be leap slam so its not allowed |

" And if so I think a lot of active multiple flasks macro including the BUILT-IN one inside Tencent clint are not allowed. OFC it will require GGG to clarify this. |

" They've confirmed it a few times. Flask macros are not allowed. Here is a thread with a bunch of GGG responses to macro use: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2077975 These guidelines apply to the international version, not the chinese version. Tencent has their own guidelines. ~Myth |

" That's 1 action If you press a button that's not the macro doing an action Otherwise no macro's would be allowed If you press a button, and you have a macro that presses another button By definition that is a 1 action macro For example - The logout macro of pressing 1 button, and then it disconnects you That is already confirmed by GGG that it's allowed A multi-action macro means you press 1 button, and then it does multiple actions Like 1 button to press 1,2,3,4,5 and pop all your flasks etc That is not a 1 action macro, therefore not "allowed" Last edited by Bloomania#2606 on Jun 13, 2020, 8:13:28 PM

"Pressing one button to Leap Slam and use a warcry is two actions. That would not be allowed, period. If you have a setup where you're "listening" for a specific keypress, then have another action be performed automatically when it is, that would not be allowed either. You're entering bot territory there. The logout macro is not a good example to use either. It exists in a grey area, because it technically only performs one game action and one system action after the fact. They bend their own rules a little bit to allow that, and there has been debate on their end about it. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

" That's straight up automation, and would not be allowed. At that point you're not simply running a macro, you're running a listen script and using it to automate gameplay. And I don't say that as if I'm GGG. I say that because I've been around forever, and I've seen all the questions asked and seen GGG's replies and comments. The game is closed/logged out then it closes the TCP connection, which is a system action rather than doing anything with the client. That's its main saving grace that led them to allowing it. You apparently don't even understand the reply you are quoting. You have to activate the macro manually. It can't be activated automatically by performing another action. That is automation.
Moving on... OP: Just don't do it. And rather than listen to people here who clearly don't know what they are talking about, email support@grindinggear.com directly. It may take time, but they will reply. And their answer will be no. Lol. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
