GGG Taken Over ?

I mean....some futuristic overlords, dragons, orcs, celestial beeings, the quantum plane, haunted forests, warriors, mages, gigantic bosses, ancient gods, shadow beeings, council of archangels, etc etc etc...

and what is this now .... FARM LEAGUE ?

Im not beeing a jackars...but has GGG been taken over by someone who is trying to make players not play the game ?

Does GGG has a "BOWL-O-LEAGUES" where everyone including 12 year old girls put their ideeas and then they just shuffle and pick a random one for the next league ?

I get it...you want to be different...you want something else...ok...THEN BE DIFFERENT...Tower Defense ? Farming ? Constructing buildings ? THIS IS NOT SOMETHING NEW ! AND BY FAR SOMETHING THAT MATCHES THE WORLD OF POE !

Im beeing as straight out as i can be without beeing rude...i mean UFOs, ancient Pyramids, maybe the Red Caves of Hell, a new Delve kinda new league content, you know, werewolfs, vampires, monsters that maybe fuse with eachother and make a bigger more dangerous one, maybe High Heavens league, where we play up in the sky in some holy palace....etc....etc....

Maybe 50% of what i said is not new ofc...but still its MATURE AND BADASS and fits POE WORLD !

I think u get the ideea.....> SOMETHING BADASS ! SMOOTH ! COOL ! GORE ! u know something MATURE but still not VULGAR. SOMETHING FOR 2020+ ! Not gamepad farm apps similar content league..

They said league after farmville is high budget.....whats it gonna be a Crircus where u fight clowns ? or no wait wait...Balerina Warriors....or smash rocks with ur head to find mushrooms ?

Please GGG dont get me wrong ! But maybe have a team that stays in this universe ? This timeline ? Dont forget that most players that play PoE are over 16-18 years old....not lil kids the 4th grade that want to plant a shrub and see it grow until it has bugs on it so we can spray and kill them after for the loot....

And yeah...imagine if this league would be as good as the new Divine Benevolence supp pack looks.

But yeah...maybe i dont see the big picture and GGG wants to snatch a younger age payer base for PoE....maybe steal them form that 2d Terrarria crap

Chris gave us a bit of insight into the creative process for 3.11 and for 3.12, referencing both leagues came from discussing movies and genres within movies.

Your question regarding a bowl of league ideas that anyone can put in, no it's not that wide open, but GGG is clearly open and looking all around for inspiration. I'm currently "Meh" about harvest, but I haven't played it yet. I've been "Meh" about plenty of leagues, and then around 200-300 hours of gameplay later I'm like "Yeah...I guess I did enjoy the hell out of that league" xD.

The hype so far is slightly underwhelming, but let's see what June 19th brings us.

I don't think GGG has been taken over but they have been experimenting with stuff that obviously doesn't fit. Maybe their designers are running low on ideas.
I'm still shocked Blight got a part of this game..it really doesn't fit and is horrible gameplay.

I also thought it was a shame how the Syndicate was handled. They where supposed to be some kind of mysterious organisation.
But no half of them are pulling silly oneliners and tend to be annoying.

With that said, I see no indication that it has to mean GGG sold out.
They are still delivering nore new content then any ARPG and PoE 2 looked great!

Cant argue there, and maybe that's the reason why some content is....let's say like some already did here...."MEH".....cause it's to muuch content ?

but tbh...3 months for 1 ideea out of lets say 50-100, even 30-50....and they pick farming ?

i know its somewhat early to speak of what the league will be...but im overall talking about the ideea of the content...seeds, flowers, farm, harvest....seems opposite to what PoE is...a ARPG, SMASH AND HACK AND SLASH or how is it called...where u KILL to ADVANCE and EVOLVE in the game...not construct buildings and farms and grow plants...

Im not saying the new items, builds and the acutal gameplay and crafing wont be nice...it always is...cause it's PoE....but the ideea to bring something like farming and tower defense in a game like this....its just........MEH...

Hope we dont have to grow and feed pets so they can poop out loot anytime soon...

i think they have a list of mechanics that should be in place for poe2 and some league mechanics may be an experiment to see what works and can go into that mega expansion. i think farming is just a vehicle to deliver the crafting mechanic. a building block for poe2 if you will.

would it be different if we had another arena like the simulacrum where an army of plants shits out seeds that you dump in a crafting device? i'm glad it's something new and my wrist needs a break anyway.
