Question regarding mechanics of spectres and curses
So I have a 4 limit spectre at the moment. 2 of them being cheiftains buffing my minions, 1 diabolist casting enfeeble and the last being mervails retainer casting vulnerability. Unfortunately I have no way of telling if the mobs are currently cursed with BOTH vulnerability or enfeeble because only 1 of the curses symbol appear over the mobs bodies (im assuming the most recently cast). Are the mobs being cursed with BOTH spells or is the most recent curse overriding the previous one.

they will overwrite each other I think, I believe there is an exception I read somewhere that the ghosts in delve will overwrite curse limit for temp chains but I didn't verify if that was true or not.
You should switch one of your cursers to an arena master for their shield banging buff IMO, or there are some very good elemental auras if you aren't purephys. |

Yes, they're over-writing each other as you still only have the default curse limit of 1. You either need to get whispers of doom (either by pathing to it or anointing it) or swap the least useful curse spectre for something else.

" Whispers of Doom raises YOUR curse limit. Spectres have a different curse limit (1) and would still overwrite eachother. |

" Conflicting reports from players on that front. Better choice for OP is swapping out the less useful cursing spectre, and getting either another buffer spectre or something like the slave driver for additional dps. |

Thanks for the replies fellas. I ended up just adding another chieftain for a better buff uptime

" When mobs have more than 1 curse on them, the game shows you it. Same for if you're cursed with more than 1 curse (such as in Putrid Cloister map). In both cases you will see multiple curse symbols above their/your head. So if you're only seeing one, then yes they only have one. Last edited by Exile009#1139 on May 24, 2020, 4:55:50 AM

"For future reference, that is the way of telling. All curses that are applying to an enemy will display their visuals. If there's only one curse symbol, there's only once curse applying. | |
" but does increasing my player curse limit, allow my spectres to apply additional curses? |

" Yeah, he Masters had a pretty good buff. Except for that constant klang klang klang that got old *incredibly* fast. Had to finally just get rid of them for the sake of my sanity. " Since it's your spectres casting the curses and not you, then it seems unlikely. But you can test this by simply equipping a +1 curse item and testing it. And be aware: Spectre curses are *much* weaker than ones you (or your totems/traps, ect) cast as far as I know, and they most certainly don't stack. Patch Notes 3.15: Fixed a bug where players believed the game was playable. This has been corrected and made retroactive. Patch Notes 3.19: Fixed a bug where players adapted to 3.15. This bug cannot be corrected, so we have implemented a 90% reduction in item access as a punishment. Last edited by BlaqWolf#1151 on May 25, 2020, 11:23:55 PM
