Not only is that incorrect, it also would make it even more powerful against ranged attacks, since at an actual evasion chance of 50% or higher you would be literally immune to projectiles.

Good post. I've been saying this for a while now. Most people just laugh and say evasion is useless compared to armor.

If you want to go evasion though you need a high health pool, because it will be spikey.

The way i see evasion, it is insanely OP...

First of all stack evasion, second stack some block% in there (this wil effectively reset ure evasion vs a certain monster because it wil be counted as a "hit" therefore reseting ure evasion rating vs him) third of all u can throw in some armor/endurance charges/acrobatics

This all combined, i think people who dismiss evasion just dont have any insight into the mechanics.

Evasion was designed not to dodge a milion hits, but to reduce incomming damage at a lower rate(lets say 1/5 hits wil hit, this wil make ure EHP insane...also like some1 already said, if u dodge a fysical/elemental hit u wil effectively evade the whole attack)

I think evasion/acrobatics/endurance charges, is probably one of the easyest defensive
set-ups to be acomplished in this game...

Been stated by whom? A dev?

Because the wiki says AD exactly doubles your chance to evade a given projectile. If your chance to evade would've been 45%, it becomes 90%.


I have to double check, I might be actually wrong here and my memory misleading. Digging further but for now I retract the statement and apologize.
