Why is Headhunter still in the game?
Most likely because headhunter is a “win more” item, not an “I win” item.
The buffs are random, depends on the mob killed, and temporary. If your build is mediocre a headhunter won’t improve it much, if at all. Your build needs to have high clear speed, before adding hh, to make its op nature shine. Thus if someone is already at the point of making content trivial, does allowing them to do so faster really break the game and necessitate a nerf. The answer is no, it does not. |

" Not really, a single random monster affix is probably better than what you would get in most belts (don't forget HH base stats are also insanely good) and no matter your build in today PoE with rare monsters appearing out of thin air all the time, chances are you are stacking 2-10 buffs all the time even without any investment towards abusing HH. The thing is, i am not against chase uniques, when i played Ragnarok there was a certain item that made you immune to magic, the trick was that there was only 3 of them in the entire server after 5 years. That's what a true "gamebreaking" chase item should be. If you go to trade right now there are 70+ HH for sale, and if you go in PoeNinja and select HeadHunter there are 2300+ characters using it. So it's not really rare enough to justify its overall power of "breaking the game". |

" Anything even close to as rare as you are talking about would almost have to be monitored by GGG as it is pretty much a 100% chance all of them will be attempted to be obtained using real money trading. Innocence forgives you

Streamers who wear HH arent watchable. Makes Twitch not worth watching.
I just dont see their logic with keeping HH in the game when they nerf all the other good stuff |

" Why are you still here? " You don't need to see their logic. Is HH making the game harder for you? Is HH giving you a super disadvantage? Does HH have a game breaking bug? You can't afford HH? Well thats you're problem. Your logic doesn't mean its the same for everyone. Its fun to use HH for a % of people in the game maybe you have not consider this? Or too busy being focus on yourself and have no time to consider others? Last edited by iMirageX#4580 on Apr 8, 2020, 5:26:53 AM

There would be no reason to RMT i guess
Need more brains, exile?

I never had and probaly will have a headhunter, and i couldn't care less... IMO we need even more of those chase items, chase mtx and chase items for the casual noobs like me (like run 10 leagues without getting 100 lol) i mean sticking to a game where i never reach the end of it... hell that means some dedication that needs to be rewarded no?

" There are 2 types of RMT, the player to player RMT and the "bot farms" RMT, one involves ultra rare items being transfered from one player to the other while the other one is about thousand of machines "mining" lower currencies. Only the second case has impact in the ingame economy, and thus affects everyone. Now let's pretend they reduced the number of HH by 100x, this would mean instead of 2500 we would have 25 HH in the league, it's prices would rise accordingly. We would reach a really similar scenario to the lab rewards jewels, that are mostly sold by RMT (the player to player type) having little to no impact the ingame economy. |

bought the hh in 2 leagues
got 1 gifted from a friend in legion league but still i stopped playing like 2 days after i got that item i'd rather invest more in a gear that is in mirror region instead of getting a hh and facerolling based on the fx of the item "There are Penalties in the Game, no one's complaining about them"

" As opposed to NOT facerolling with mirror region gear? Right. |
