Sure you can have your own interpretation on how it works, I interpret it as it reduces 100% of the incoming reflected physical damage, whether that's 10k/10m you are going to take in the end, reduce 100% of that then it becomes zero, simple! They either need to reword this useless modifier or correct how it works in the game.
It isn't an interpretation. It's a fact about how the game works. It has been this way since day one of POE. Increases/reductions are additive, less/more are multiplicative.

Sure the mechanism is not broken if that's the way it they intended in poe, but how it's worded is just wrong.
I understand increasing a number by more than 100%, but it just doesn't make any sense at all to reduce a number by more than 100% without it going negative. And just because it's poe doesn't make it right by changing the meaning of reducing in terms of percentage. Reducing something by 100% means getting rid of it completely.
Good I saw that this is such a useless stat.

With it's low weighting it really should grant reflect immunity and not just some stat that works until it doesn't.

It should be changed to reflect immunity, simple as that.

How about a map with xx% extra physical damage as "cold"?

Died 2 times on such a map with reflect phys and I had the chest mod 100% reduced.

Was I blocking off the phys but had to deal with cold dmg as extra reflect?

Also people who defend the wording of the game mechanics have to realize it's not fun to learn the hard way. PoE wiki says nothing about adding inc or reductions regarding reflect dmg. Things need to be clearer.

In order to progress late game you need high enough dps builds. However tanky your char can be even a 10% reflect dmg going through could be well enough to kill him.

So yeah total noob trap; even a map with nothing but a reflect mod you can still encounter a mob casting vulnerability and then what?

Moral of the story: don't bother just reroll maps.
