Lol, people voting isn't good. In the end a small group a people talk it out and decide who wins. The actual voting is just used to trick people into thinking they can make a difference and feel good about themselves.

It is both true that it is efficient and an asshole move and that's why the entire trade system in broken.

I couldn't agree more with Codetaku.

I've had to resort to "asshole behaviour" myself at times, when I go through literally 50 people without a response and waiting a full minute between them. There are days when I spend an entire evening after work just trying to buy a few things, not because I'm being cheap or because what I want is rare, but simply because nobody responds.

I don't want to spam everyone because in case a miracle happens, I get 5 invites, I'll have to disappoint 4 of them. If I do that, I'm part of the problem. Those 4 guys will likely think "fuck it" next time and that's exactly what I want to avoid.

I guess it's like most things as far as trade etiquette is concerned; shit in, shit out.

This. Today I wanted to buy some leveling uniques for my twink. Sent messages to some ten 1c sellers, and no answer of course. Then I simply changed the trade filter to show items starting from 2c (3c in some cases) and the result was much better.

OP, people value their time and won't leave the map for 1c especially in this speedrunning Delirum meta, however, they might gladly trade if someone whispers them when they are in their hideout.

Exactly. I'd also say it depends on the time of the league as well. In the beginning, I usually get 1c trades done instantly. 4-6 weeks in, people don't give a sh*t about 1c trades. Well, some still do, but you get what I mean

Hell, I even throw in a gumball with the 1c just because I value the seller's time. And every league for the past half a decade, my remove-only tabs are full of unused currency. Might as well get rid of it while making the seller a bit more happy. That's just how I do things, I'm weird

A lot of problems with trading come from people unrealistically expecting everyone to act the same as how they would act in the same situation. I can't help thinking that even if you consider it to be rude or toxic or whatever if everyone took the carpet bombing approach and just spammed sellers for 1c items until they got what they wanted it would be a better experience for buyer and seller.

Buyer gets their items quicker as they aren't waiting for people who probably won't respond.
Sellers know that unless they throw out an invite instantly they don't have to bother interrupting what they are doing to try and trade with someone who maybe already got what they wanted already.

Sure it would be more efficient if we had an AH but since there's no indication that will ever happen gotta make the best of what we have, if everyone adopts the same standards it makes it smoother for everyone.

With the current devaluation of Chaos orbs I have a 30 b/o dumptab, that I change into 20 and then vendor everything by the end of the day. Effective and also provides me some alterations.

Based on people asking me for low cost trades, I'd guess that probably about 1 in 3 to 4 people or so, "carpet bomb" lots of people in that case. I don't ever carpet bomb when I'm buying though. I'll usually just skip the first page or two of cheapest offers when buying, especially when buying uniques.
