Holy shit that's a lot of anger for nothing, especially given the fact you started the thread wondering why folks were using wands....
You literally said you're stacking dex, and then said stark's has none when it clearly does. It's not about not wanting to spend currency, you've got to consider getting there too. I didn't even say it was horrible, just not really worth all the sacrifice. It's like the no helm all lucky jewel, you're weighing it against what you give up. And well given your namesake is dmg inc, sure you focus on damage. But given the health buffs and longer fights and all the other changes meaning you're gonna get hit either way, you still have to consider survivability. I was probably gonna swap the helm eventually but I needed to get something first. Selection hasn't been particularly great when browsing, then there's actually finding someone who responds ;) I can technically afford garukhan's right now, but even at 1k dex that's just 200 flat health. I've got to replace the chest piece before that becomes practical. Helm has to be replaced for coil to be even considered, etc. I get that damage scales really well, I've killed uber elder enough to know the value in damage scaling. But dying = no damage. There are these things like immune phases and invisible explosions in the fog and a plethora of other things you can't always avoid. Sure throw currency at it and its great, but so are plenty of other things - it's gotta have something that truly sets it apart. I mean I like it I just don't "love" it. Don't know where all that defensiveness came from geez. Yep, totally over league play.

I'm completely clueless and have absolutely no idea how to play the game and always have plenty of currency in act 10 when the primary complaint about the league was the lack of reward... yep. I mean some folks run bridge to build up initial currency, I struggle with boredom just trying to build the map pool. Yep, totally over league play.

Theres plenty of viable way to build around this jerwel, personnaly i went cyclone for the fun of it and still hitting good numbers.
lvl 91: 6k+ life 3 endu charge ~1200 dex impale around 12m shaper dps so when i hear lack of health of defense i call bullshit |

That's what I was saying, you're still spending a ton, no longer get crit multiplier, losing 4-10 sockets along with all the potential stats in those slots. It was not about viability. If anything, I'd be more concerned with cyclone getting nerfed into the ground which would make it a lot harder to build around given the lack of variety for unarmed skills, especially given the constant focus on mobility whether it be Sirus or the Delirium mechanic itself. EDIT - yeah just looked at the gear - the plate alone is worth more than most people make an entire league. Very nice tho, 40 dex boots too and enough dex to really make the health bonus offset the lack of initial health and all that. And I bet you miss having more than dash to choose from, little things like that. Edit 2 - I looked at the plate again, I keep thinking of the warlord -15 mana cost plates, so I have no idea how much that elder astral went for so I may be off on that cost, but I'm pretty sure its still well above what most people make a league - the rings sure are. I got a 6L 50dex, 12% dex,resist and open prefix for life for less than 6 exalt. The base was sub 1 exalt, 6L prophecy is like...5.2 exalt. With that being said, to be fair when I played it, the boots were 1.5 exalt, and the jewel was 10c, prices have gone up cuz people follow Mathil like a sheep. I played it a few days before Mathil. " You are quite amusing. And I've never known someone to be so great at taking things out of context. I do find it especially strange that you think my "critique" is horribly wrong without even giving a second thought to consider the point of view it was written with - especially given that I started it with choosing to run it because it was cost effective at the time. I was evaluating it looking long term. I had 639 dex then, 805 last I looked. I'm still using it, so maybe just because I'm not a fan isn't the same as thinking its crap? Like right now, every upgrade I consider is minimum 1ex, and the boots did in fact jump from 1.5-2 to 4+ in less than a day from when our "discussion" initially started. I've never used a tab this long outside of testing, and aside from a 2ex brisk wrap, every meaningful 6link I'd consider is pretty and more than I ever spend in a league. That's not to say I see anything wrong in folks spending a ton, I've just never enjoyed PoE that much and given the history of nerfs I don't like throwing tons of ex at something I won't be able to enjoy in standard. I tend to keep the pretty so most of the wealth is from actual currency drops for me. I actually wanted to stay away from it completely knowing it was gonna be popular but it still was a cheaper alternative even now compared to standard weapons for the damage output I'm hitting (hence why I haven't swapped out). But more than anything, I'm expecting cyclone is gonna get gutted based on how they attacked necros from all sides since it's maintained popularity despite its initial nerfs after legion.
