How long to beat end game?

I started playing in legacy league and 40/40 on my first league. It took me 600 hours at the time. Keep in mind this is only in one character, you can add 20-30 hours per character.

I did 40/40 in delve in 500h, in legion in 450h and in metamorph in 350h, all on a single character.

If you goal is just to beat shaper/lvl5 sirus, I'd say it would take around 120h for a lesser experienced player. Beating uber elder and completing the atlas are more difficult, and will require about 200-250h. You should be following a build guide that is focused on endgame.

Pick a build where the guy has killed all endgame bosses (sirus 8, uber elder). The main important thing is that you should understand the upgrade path for this build to reach good enough gear to kill endgame bosses. A lot of guides are "budget", and will tell you that res+life on all gear pieces is fine. For a lot of characters, you can't expect to defeat the hardest content the game will throw at you with gear you obtained in t1 maps. It's perfectly fine for a build guide to be "budget", but make sure you understand what are the important pieces to upgrade to reach significantly higher damage/ehp.
On attack builds it's probably going to be better weapons, body armor and jewellery, on spell builds maybe crit scaling, and in mana stacking builds more mana... These are just exemples, it of course depends on the build you're following.

As long as you have a clear goal in mind and a set path to go towards it, you'll succeed.

I'd say about 50 hrs for Sirus 8 but really it depends on how fast you get the watchstones as that is the #1 limiting factor on how long it takes you (learnt this in the SSF race metamorph league)

Worse or more gear dependant skill will take longer, will take longer if you aren't a competent bosser and have to repeat some too obviously.

Thanks for the great answers! I think I have a much better idea now! I think I will shoot low and go for Shaper/ Sirus 5, since I'm pretty low on time and kind of just want to enjoy the game while I'm still learning things. If I get motivated I will go for all the end game bosses. I'm getting excited for Delirium, I keep checking for patch notes over and over again.
