How long to beat end game?

Hey all, I'm interested in making a run at completing most end game content next season. I have played a few seasons now and gotten into early mapping and learned th basics of the game. I'm wondering how long will it take to complete the end game? I know the answer will depend on many things, but I would prefer an answer with as much detail as possible. I am a 'hardcore casual' with around 10-15 hours per week to play, and I don't mind playing a meta build of that's what it takes for my first time doing end game. Thanks in advance!

It mostly depends on your definition of "end game" and "complete". 40/40 or something else?
it mostly depends on how effective you are and how strong/fast your build is
IGN: Eric_Lindros
CET: Timezone
Any definition of endgame is fine, if you think there are 3 then give estimates for all 3. Can anyone give me ballpark estimates for an average player doing a meta build? Are we talking 100 hours? 200 hours?

What all do you want to do? Kill Sirus? Get all watchstones? 40/40 challenges? Reach level 100? Hit Delve xx depth? Do everything once? Have completely maxed out build(s)?

How fast do you spend in a typical map? How much downtime between maps?

I’d say anywhere from 100-500 hours.
Great thanks for the response! I didn't even know about all those goals :). I am thinking beating Sirus for now that's a good first step for beating the end game do you think?
To beat Sirus once? Experienced players who spend the weekend playing will kill him their first time within the first day or two of the new league.

I don't personally think about PoE as a game to beat. You should start by playing it enough to understand what you like about it, and that might include setting some goals about what content you want to explore during the league.

From there, you can make some decisions about specific accomplishments you want to go for.

Good luck
This was my first league reaching 36 challenge. What you're asking is mostly a question of knowledge of the game mixed with playtime.

My first toon didnt even complete cruel mode. Just be prepared to read build guides, then the wiki, then more build guides, then more wiki, then watch some video on youtube, read some more build guide, then some more wiki again.

It might sound bad at first glence, but its much worst then that. (Just kidding)

Just savor the game and the rest will come.

When playing poe, knowledge is power.
Life goes by like a fart in the wind.
End game starts at mapping, but never really "ends".

Beating it also varies based on perspective.

I'm always content with hitting 36/37 in a league I commit to because of the intensive grind associated with some of the last challenges.

But as far as "beating" end game, for me that was defeating every major boss.

So at the time, that was Elder (Red elder really), Shaper, Uber Atziri and Uber Elder.

Now that Elder/Shaper/Uber Elder are gated even more than they used to be, one might settle on beating all the conquerors and unlocking all the watchstones. Once you've done that, you can decide how many more challenges to push from there.
Yep, totally over league play.

To beat Sirus, probably 6-8 hours to reach the maps, then 20-30 to farm 6 exalts for a 6L that isn't tabula rasa and "budget" items for your build, and balance your resists.

However, to max your build - awakened gems, watcher's eyes, etc. takes more.
