The Interrogation - Unique Small Cluster Jewel




This is the first of the jewel previews that might actually see use. A lot of 'fire' damage characters dont care AT ALL about igniting things *yes, some do*. Losing the ability to ignite, to get Scorch (up to 20% reduced ELEMENTAL Resistance based on the Fire Damage of the Hit, for 2 seconds) could be MASSIVE.

4 passive points for this seems.... close???

If you have a good medium jewel WITH an extra socket, and can get this for 2 points, then HELL YES.

Sounds like they're just improvements on the old ailments. Wonder how they're going to scale though.

I'm not a big fan of these changes to the game. Seems like either a waste of new stuff, or a waste of old stuff. One way or the other it's not good.

scorch/brittle/sapped already exist

theyre on some garbage helmet that got introduced in 3.5


obviously shock is already a 'more damage' ailment, but this allows fire builds to get upfront damage after the first hit. i doubt cold builds will want to lose their fancy freeze powers.

Never even noticed these.... in what, a year and a half? Why bother with changes that no one gives a damn about?
it isnt that nobody cares about. The mod itself is pretty strong.

however when you can easily get fossil helms that have ~half the effect, plus other mods..... nobody gonna look twice at a hard to find, crappy unique helm.



the jewel, though, has a much lower opportunity cost. If there was a 4 point cluster that went 4/4/4/8% ele pen..... it would be in a lot of builds. that's about what this jewel is.

well pork me sideways, the ailments arent even the same....

i thought it was weird the fire one said 'reduced ELEMENTAL resistances' when it was the fire ailment... assumed it was just fire resistances...


am i wrong, or are cold and lightning ones doodoo?


but fire is actual all elemental pen. that's very interesting.

enemies deal up to 20% less damage is massive. its another less damage taken multiplier without the diminishing returns.
