We may already know who the Mysterious Antagonist (tm) of Delirium League is...

Seemingly every article covering the new league stresses how GGG is keeping its plot elements under wraps for us to uncover for ourselves. But for those of us familiar with PoE lore, it doesn't look that hard to figure out - at least insofar as to who the new Big Bad Guy is. So here's my guess -

Tangmazu.

Yeah, I know that name might not ring a bell for a lot of you, but he's been mentioned in the game for quite a while now. And he seems to fit the bill. He's a trickster god (think PoE's version of Loki) known for messing with people's heads. Here's two bits of lore about him -

"
One of two sisters who ruled the most populous and powerful of the ancient Azmerian tribes. Solaris, was thought to guide the sun across the sky with threads of shimmering gold, whilst Lunaris saw to the wax and wane of moon with a sickle of purest silver.

It was a peaceful partnership, until the trickster Tangmazu, happened upon their domain. In turning sister against sister he saw to the massacre of thousands whilst concealing the source of their futile feud beyond all reckoning.

"
The more the warrior understood Tangmazu's gift, the less the mask aided him. His dreams were filled with divine laughter.

- Tenth Song of the Islands, Fractal Thoughts https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Fractal_Thoughts

That second quote even mentions his association with dreams. Not enough? Well, how about the fact that the new kit even practically calls him out -

"
The trickster god turned the very Day and Night against each other. What hope have you?

- Perfidy (one of the new revealed uniques)

Seems pretty likely to me that the boss we'll be fighting in the Simulacrum is gonna be Loki's uglier brother. Course I could be wrong. Any other theories?

That sounds conclusive. At least, he is not some random angry guy like Sirus, befor they added the the lore later. Or like all Bosses of Legion. But I don't think, that 3.10 has lorewise much to offer. The lore of Synthesis was awesome and exciting. I would have liked them to continue this story.

Wow, I felt like a badass for concluding this myself after playing Delirium for over a month now... You had it figured out weeks before the start, you are a lore God!
After you meet Sin and the misterious voice starts talking to you some time it says "My brother Sin" so yes he's indeed a god.

Great job, Sherlock.
Except we've already known this since before the league even launched.

Great. I fought Chris Hemsworth all this time, and didn't even noticed.

Thanks! Though I am kinda sad that we never actually get to fight him. I guess that's in keeping with his archetype - trickster gods aren't generally known for being particularly strong, and tend to prefer avoiding direct conflict - but still.

I thought he said it was Ralakesh that was his brother?

Regardless he only starts to appear after the Beast is Slain and also mentions how much he despises the Beast in Act 9, so yes he is very clearly indeed a god.
