how much hp do we need at tier10 maps?

HC chars are ment do die, the game will throw at you random death sentences no matter what you think is maxed or good.

This is why i still choosing to shattered enemies for so many years to avoid those dead spikes and detonate dead

Need to ask GGG if it is intended what we not allowed to have any defence against DD. At all.

Only constant and continuous corpse shatter everywhere can help. But its not defence really. DD can oneshot even 25k hp char easilly, especially this got worse after latest monsted hp buff. Cus DD doeas % of monster life in boom. If got even stronger, but we dont get any life buffs for our chars at all. Only nerfs. So no defence allowed.

Dunno why this still exists.

not only that though. corpse boom boom is basically required now-a-days. there are so many on death effects that don't happen if you explode the corpse either by shatter, by ascendancy, by item. its just too good to pass up at this point.

i know my next leagues starter is going to be built around it

That's why I use Vaal Detonate Dead against MM mobs. They cast their black cloud of death, I scoot away...boom! It works really well though sometimes they die and I die. I take solace in that I didn't go alone.

Block is the way.
Not for one shot DDs but if there are multiple corpses exploding then block works well.

This looks like someone should inform GGG about it as it doesn't look like it's balanced and intended.

It is working as intended. If you don't move out of a pile of corpses with a chest using Detonate Dead, then you're bound to die, lol.

I have no idea why OP lists anything but his fire resistance. DD deals pure fire damage that cannot be reflected and sclaes with monster life.

Also a note to other people who replied here: DD cannot be blocked. Your spell block doesn't matter.

The wiki states so.. the gem didn't state that back in the day and it doesn't today, it only talks about reflect. I haven't had the opportunity to test this myself but I like to trust the wiki. :|
