Just a suggestion but The Eternal Lab final boss room is way to freaking hard

There is NO room to maneuver because the room isn't square any more, it's got corners and alcoves and there are literally bleeding deadly traps every couple of steps. You can't move without hitting a trap and the boss one shots every time he lands on you. With no room to move or maneuver, basically I'm fubar. I have 5 slave driver specters, 5000 health and decent amount of energy shield, 10 zombies, a heavily armed and armored animated guardian, a carrion minion, extra lightning damage buff for all my minions, extra crit for all of my minions but it doesn't matter worth squat if the boss can one shot in a room where I can't run from him without dying because of traps. This is the Only thing I have Ever complained about for POE. I love this game but if I can down any Conqueror in less than 30 seconds, than this is a bit much.

To avoid the retarded 1-shot kill during the fight you have to stay near his backside and always be moving. If you are far away from him he will teleport you into the traps and potentially kill you that way. If your build cannot take any kind of hits from him you will need to grab the dark shrines or re-asses your gear.

But in all honesty everything about the Labs are fkin atrocious and I hope they get redone.
Slot a decoy totem into your build somewhere, position them to keep Izaro from facing you (so you don't get hit by slams, windblade, etc), don't stand around in traps/fire/etc, move when his spirit helper lobs crap at you (she ignores taunts/totems/etc).

It can be a messy encounter if you can't get a no traps darkshrine, but you can still cheese Izaro all day long easily if he's not paying any attention to you.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.
Dark Shrines. Get all of them. None are bad, and some are great. If that's not enough, get some of the puzzle rewards to turn off some of his specials.

You can make it easier and easier the more work you're willing to put into it.

But I agree, that gating progress behind a killer boss is fucking stupid.

- Layout changes everyday
- Spike traps are not instant, you could indefinitely run on top of them with the right timing
- with slave drivers and zombies, if your build isn't terrible, the fight should not last more than 5 seconds ...

go do a double boss core map and come say anything about izaro lol

pretty much lol.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
The Dark Shrines are a great idea. Thank you very much. Honestly, the room was extremely odd. I have never seen a room in the lab with That many traps. They literally were right next to each other everywhere. There was no place on the floor that did not have a trap.

All of his one shot abilities are super telegraphed

The fact that he uses them is telegraphed, but the direction is not. If you have minions/totems you usually have no idea where it would land.

That's justice for you. You want it - you storm enemy's fortress filled with army and traps.
Organic chemistry is a weird thing. If you add a spoon of shit to a barrel of jam you'll get a barrel of shit.

I am sorry, but there is absolutely no way that this is true ( unless a bug ).

The heaviest trap rooms has a clear path to the middle where 2 lanes have darts being thrown in ( alternating, you can rotate to avoid those ), you can always go on spikes fora bit, carefully planning to not go twice on the same time in a short time span.

I don't think Izaro is too hard, in fact once you reach a decent gear level he becomes trivial. However i remember how much trouble i had with him back when my gear was still trash. At that point it was far too much hit or miss with him. If my char was tanky enough to take his attacks he was super easy, just face tank and be done with it.
If not then it all depended on me finding the right dark shrine to disable the traps in that room. I guess a veteran player can manage to manuever around all those traps while dodging every one of izaros attacks in a 5 minute fight, but that's not an healthy expectation for a bossfight that gates basic char progression. It should also be mentioned here that eternal lab has an entry cost and is essentially hardcore play, if you fail you have to start all over again. The difference in difficulty between fighting him with and without traps is just far too big and it's luck dependent if you turn them off or not. As a new player at league start i really wouldn't want to have to deal with this, it can be really frustrating.

For that reason i do think the fight should be tweaked a bit. Instead of making the "diasable traps in the final room" a random darkshrine effect, put a secret room with a lever somewhere in the lab. Would make the difficulty a lot less rng based.

Especially if you have Bone Barrier. It makes you effectively invulnerable to them. How could a summoner complain about spike traps of all things, lol.
Uber Izaro might be hard if you have less than 200k dps. Also there are buffs that Izaro might gain, if you want to go for max keys, this is when he start one shotting. His arena has plenty of movement space, there are different layouts for boss traps. Some are harder than others, but overall it is not that hard if you know what you are doing. And playing with minions is the easiest way to learn boss mechanics, just because you started this game and it's hard, you should play more until you learn it's mechanics and it becomes easy.

Only one thing i dont like about labyrinth that it is a bit too long.
